Regardless of who's to blame its more bad publicity and QPR's name in the gutter.

So, for want of a scapegoat, Joey should be lynched by the representives on here from the tufty club? Calm down, laddie.

it's all a bit odd... all we can really know for sure is:

barton and his missus have gone to a gay club in liverpool
at 5:30 in the morning, there's some sort of altercation
barton gets punched in the face and not arrested
two other people do get arrested
barton voluntarily leaves the scene

it looks bad (it's certainly embarassing), but compare the fuss being made about this with the relatively light treatment of the anton/diouf incident a month or two back (while the team was fighting for its survival on the pitch). so far there's nothing to say that barton did nothing other than have his face in the way of someone's fist... maybe there's more to it than that, if so i fell happier condemning barton, but at the moment there's not enough detail to come to any judgement.

Quite, and tbf there are always going to be bitter little ****s willing to have a go at a footballer for no other reason than jealousy mixed with dutch courage.

You cannot expect footballers to not have a social life (and certainly not during the summer), and Barton was out with his girlfriend, not on a jolly with the boys (not that that's necessarily a bad thing in the main). Unless we find out that Barton provoked them, which is very, very unlikey, this doesn't change my opinion of Barton at all.

What is depressing is that someone is so angry and bitter at 5:30 in the morning ffs, that they'll start a fight with a stranger...

FFS he got hit and all he did was walk off and people are still complaining about him! He cant win, I personally dont want him playing for our club because of the Citeh incident, however he has done no wrong and ended up with a slap, and still he walked away and wanted no part of it!
I think some of you on here need to seriously look at it and yourself before you post, if someone gave me a slap I know how i would have reacted and its not what Joey did.

Although some are hanging him and most of that is due to whats happened recently and not just this morning but those of you who are backing him saying he did nothing wrong and walked away !!! do you honestly think JB would of said and did nothing wrong ?? why would he take his shirt off for 1 and im sure he would of had a word or 2 to say but lets see what the reports say when more facts are known,if it is found that he had done something wrong whuch provoked the attack im sure your still back him whatever.
