His point is valid. He supports the team, but is not so blinkered, or sheeplike, that he unquestioningly supports the actions of every single member of the QPR team and staff. Can anyone here seriously state that they were in support of Briatore or Ecclestone. No, thought not.

And I agree with the mod about vblockrangers endless namecalling. I enjoy his posts, he writes with passion and vigour, and I like the fact that he's got a different opinion to mine, it'd be very tedious on this forum without disagreement, but the endless sarcasm and repeated slurs are getting very boring. And just what has he got against tanktops?

I do mate. And I know you've said you have a problem with people getting on the moral high ground which is fair enough. And I know its an emotive issue too. But I wouldn't be carrying out my role if I didn't at least attempt to keep things fairly civilised.

Ultimately what keeps these messageboards fun and lively is all the many and diverse opinions, and to maintain that we need to at least try to respect that.

That pretty much sums it up.

I've got everything crossed that we get shot (at the right price), but if he stays, I'm obviously not going to stop supporting QPR, so I'll suck it up like the rest of us.

If he stays, I very much hope he doesn't behave the way he has done. If he does, he won't be playing enough games to worry about it.

I just don't get this......we got Barton on a free and it looked like a fantastic bit of business...BUT his performances on the whole have been woefully below par this season. I am not morally outraged by his behaviour ( he only cuffed that little **** tevez...). BUT.... I want him to stop talking a good game and start f***ing delivering......

In all of this debate there is one overriding and irrefutable fact:

Barton has a genuine anger-management problem, which if he doesn't recognise and seek professional help for will, without a shadow of doubt, keep continuing to rear it's ugly head in the future - it's only a matter of when, not if.

What about Patrick Kluivert then? If he'd signed for QPR, don't tell me you wouldn't have jizzed. Yet he was a very naughty boy himself.

As for the main topic. I'm not a Joey hater. But he has played, what, a handful of good games for us? He's barely a footnote in this club's history.

If he takes his medicine like a good little boy and plays like I know he can, and doesn't cost us any more games, of course I'd back him 100%. But he really doesn't deserve all this attention.
