  • Anyone else not overly excited by euros?

I can't seem to be bothered about the euros I've been to the last 2 world cups and euros in Portugal but really can't be arsed about this one, not going either. I know isleworth is and he's v loyal but it's not getting me going, hopefully without all the hype like usual we may do ok?

    Anyone else feel the same?
Thank **ck thats all over with !!! need a holiday!!!

I couldn't care less about euros.

England have let me down my whole life. This will not change anytime soon (until the QPR academy is at full strength :D)

QPR > England in my eyes.
QPR, remember that name, you'll be cursing it later

Everyone agrees with you, I think. This is the least hyped tournament in years. Even the ones we weren't in!!

Expectations are so, so low for the England team.

You never know though,, was it Italia 90 when expectations weren't that high?
It may work in our favour, I doubt it though...

The more euros I earn, the more excited I become
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

            http://kirillqpr.blogspot.com/

How and why did I start supporting QPR in Estonia:

Nah, not the least bit excited.
Fully expect England to do what they always do at a major tournament, and shame us and the nation very deeply.

think the usual hype for the euros has been overshadowed by the bloody olympics this year!
still looking forward to the euros though!

Least excited I've ever felt about a tournament England have played in. I think its because in the Premier League our players strut around as arrogant superstars but every time they are required to do it for their country we are reminded just how mediocre they all are. Even Rooney is not all that at the very highest international level yet he and his team-mates are so rich and arrogant. Its hard to wish a squad well that contains the likes of John Terry and Ashley Cole.

At my office we've been making a big deal of tournaments since 2002, loads of bunting, flags, sweepstakes, inviting clients over for beers and pizza. This year no one has said a peep.

Think South Africa killed that off. The Algeria game sticks in the memoery where Australians and Americans in our mob were huffing and sighing at being coerced to watch the dross, but by 60 minutes people - especially the diehards who had seen enough and were simply furious and embarrassed - either went home or decided to do a bit of work.

Years ago we cheered on players no matter what club they played for. There's no way I'm cheering on the likes of Terry and Cole.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.
