  • MH's column in The Mail this morning.

MH has his own column in the Mail and says this morning"I want to improve my squad at QPR and are making progress.I have been using the time to get in front of agents and players to try to show them what we are planning at QPR.I've been working closely with our technical director Mike Rigg.He joined the club from Man City towards the end of the season and is already proving to be a great asset to QPR." He goes on to say he won't be scouting at the Euros as he knows about the players we want and tournament football can give you a false impression of a players capabilities.

I dont know this tbf but Im gussing Rigg is more football related ie searching for players, and Beard is more a business man, ie getting sponsors on board etc. Together seem to make a great pair though.

England are short of options in midfield - Mark Hughes

England have lost so many players to injury. They will miss talent and experience so I wonder if they thought about a call to Paul Scholes. He came out of retirement for Manchester United and was fantastic.

Because you shouldn't have to beg people to play for their country, whether it's Paul Scholes or Michael Carrick. It should be an honour to play for your country, fellas like these think it should be an honour to have them in the team. No thanks.

No doubt Beard will be more involved with the negotiations for transfer targets aswell.

Spot on Matty, i have been told by a FL owner that Rigg will be our most important signing and is held with high regard through the PL and there are many that cant believe he joined us when he had much bigger clubs wanting him. We are obviously moving forward but maybe behind the scenes its advancing more than we are aware and Rigg can see there is a challenge ahead but with a huge opportunity to make us a top 6 club one day.

I would go along with something like that but get Scholes out of international retirement and into CM.
