Barton hinted at tension with Taarabt following that match by claiming afterwards: “I came here and was told he was a genius but I’m yet to see it. I don’t know whether that is because he doesn’t work hard enough or that he tends to sulk.”Now, that is almost as bad as what Taraabt is reported to have said, if indeed he did.

For the record, I think that Bartons future should be decided by Mark Hughes alone. If he wants rid, then fine. If he wants to keep him, then that's fine too, although I do share your distaste at such an amazing over reaction to what he did that day. It wasn't great admittedly but I am really surprised at the amount of people so morally outraged.
i find myself agreeing with you Brighton......
End of the day its down to Hughes and of course we should all back his decision. Like you say its the over the top Moral outrage that i have a problem with and find it laughable when the tank tops on here express it. But then again i dont have too many morals..............

Barton and Adel was never going to be a match made in heaven, they represent everything the other wd hate. Regardless of Adel its clear the club are keen to bomb out Barton. Think it will all come down to whether we can thrash out a compromise with West Ham or whoever whereby we pay some of the wages (maybe all his wages till Nov) but don't think we will be seeing him next season turn out for us.

      Send Barton to Bolton then!!

Read the article on the tube home from work and have to admit very poor journalism IMHO, lot of the content was historic with words such as threatened rather than threatens and detailing bust up that probably occurred months ago.

What is of interest to me though is JB is destabilising, he did it at city, Newcastle and now us. NW pointed the finger at him so don't think it's a coincidence that a bad smell forms where ever JB appears.

As to JB, we have been kidding ourselves about him, whatever anyone says QPR fans are an forgiving bunch, the fact that he may have run around for a handful of games and on a couple of games got sent off for "passion" constitutes to some a good season. I didn't expect a zidane or Hagi but he's not even been a savage. We've made a mistake, get rid, at least Adel did us proud, not for him we would still be playing Leeds. JB slagged off NW who whatever his failings deserved much much better, spent 5 mths telling all he loved the toon until everyone realised they they were better off with out him, got sent off for a must win game and embarrassed the club in front of an audience of millions. Oh sorry
he's hard and got passion, kompany would have killed him given the opportunity and most premiership teams this season have run straight through us because he's a weed.
Lastly, when the club should for once be looking at a summer of stability and bringing in top players, we've got the club dealing with all the fall out from that idiots 12 game ban, quality.

No brainer for me. Bye Joey.
Couldn't agree more and I feared that this would happen ie. that Barton is a toxic/divisive character within the team... Dare say there are others who would have the same attitude if they were questioned in private.... Also think that there will be players who we'd be looking at signing who wouldn't be keen all the time Barton is at the club...:(

I disagree, and over the season has been one of the hardest working players in the team. His attitude has been exemplary, especially since Hughes arrived.

He has been a damn sight more consistent than most of the squad. Yes he could have had a couple more goals, but he had abysmal luck at points.

The ego you refer to has not been seen half as much this season than the season before.

As much as his ardent fans struggle to see his flaws, I believe there are some (and it would appear you are among them) who refuse to see the improvements he has made this season.

Agree, work rate has improved, one of our latest home games he was the furthest player in defence. Liverpool game, gooner game he was stunning

this is not far wrong, fair comment Facto, i don't like the way he thinks the team is there for him.Make no mistake if he can get half a season of consistency together and another club shows any interest in him he will sh*t on on us before you can say "pass it"

He's a super talented whiney Moroccan fairy. Work rate has improved since Hughes has arrived but i think his attitude will never improve. At this moment sitting on a beach somewhere with his ****ing gloves on.
