But I seem to recall from the bible..
27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary.
28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, "oooh, get you, wearing that smock in beige at this time of year. Soo last season. I'd wouldn't be caught dead in open toed sandals in a manger"
Brilliant lol

Reading some of the sh* t people are writing in Bartons defence and in critism of Adel I wonder what you lot would have made of our Stan? I expect most on here are too young to have watched him live.
Adel reminds me of Stan a lot. Some games not really involved/couldn't be bothered and then a 30 second moment of genius that won a game. People loved Stan, and still do, yet he wasn't always at the top of his game or a 'club' man, often not turning up for training, being in the betting shop at 2.50pm on a Sat, etc etc but when Adel behaves like this everyone wants rid of him.
Look at any genius in life, van gough, mozart, warhol, etc etc they are all/were excentric characters who don't always fit in. Stan, Adel very similar in some respects to these. To get genius you sometimes have to compromise, so lets get behind Adel and get Joey out.22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

Adel is a good player and can be great on his day. Just his attitude stinks.Last edited by vblockranger; 02-06-2012, 10:57 AM.

IF Adel felt that Barton was deliberately trying to break his leg in training, I can understand why he might not want to play with him. Plenty of other players have said much the same about Barton. I don't think Adel is standing over Mark Hughes telling him who to pick, but if he said "you know what, if Barton is still running the show next season I think I'll be looking for another club" then its hardly the worst thing a modern footballer has done. Compared to say, well, stubbing a cigar out in the eye of a lad from the youth team.
Adel was different from all the other players in the Championship winning side. Speroni instead of Kenny and I think we would have finished in almost exactly the same place. Ambrose instead of Adel, we might just have sneaked into the play offs.
