Blimey I can't believe the shite some people come out with. Don't get me wrong, I want joey to stay and to be honest I'm quite please he punched aguero....who typically made a meal of it. But, when has adel ever been quoted publicly slating barton? He hasn't. I can't believe people are even commenting on this bog roll of a newspaper. The only one to publicly slate the other is barton not adel. Adel may not have had a great season but he's played for us for a while now, he was main reason we went up, was stripped of captaincy and after acting like he sometimes does, he came back and played bloody well from jan until the end of the season. Barton had some good games especially towards the end of the season but byenlarge he's been average. Adel has had a better season than him no question.

the only reason if true Adel said anything is he has heard of a move possible hush hush he fancies and can force clubs hand.At end of day our club cant afford to give Joey away to a deff Prem hipocrit rival who would #### him now and take him tommoz if free.

I said from the moment we got Barton I thought it would not work and it hasn't. Utter sh1te until he got booed off - which only prooves he wasn't bothered before that. He even laughed when one of his crosses went out of the stadium that night.

He is a total tw4t, has disrupted every dressing room he has been in and every club he has left have improved. The worst captain we have ever had - EVER, His efforts at City could have sent us down. Only cares about promoting himself as a personality - he didn't want to join us and made very little effort since getting here.

If anyone tries to tell me he played well at Wolves - get a grip.

Taarbs every day of the week. Mackie was better than Barton last season and has half the talent.

Speaking personally, I'm still grateful to the super talented whiney Moroccan fairy for single-handedly getting us promoted the season before last.

If you think this is a good example of a player thinking their too big for the club you are mistaken. Barton under Warnock was exactly that though.

The best performance of the season so far from QPR versus an Arsenal team that had won 7 Premier League games in a row. UUUUUUURRRRRRRRRSSSSSS!!!! A very hap...

Doesn't look like Adel and Joey hate each other there?

I'm sure Paddy Kenny was voted players player and the fans player of the season ?

                            Two points to make.

Knowing a little about how the press works, I would say that this story comes not from Taraabt but from the club itself. Someone in the press office at the club has leaked this story, probably in readiness for officially announcing next week that Barton is leaving the club.

Also, presumably the story is true, that Barton did go in very hard a couple of times in training, and Taraabt was genuinely concerned about his safety. So concerned that he was prepared to go to law. What does this tell us about Barton. Well, for one, he could not care less about the team, that he is prepared to deliberately injure on of QPR's best players, that he is only interested in himself and his petty personal vendettas, Secondly that he's a coward, wanting to hurt someone under the guise of pretending to tackle them, rather than confronting them head on.

Some of the posters on here need to take a dispassionate look at the facts. I would be happy to back Barton if I thought he was being unfairly treated, or genuinely had the best interests of the club at heart, behaved in a more morally acceptable way befitting the way a captain of a premier club should conduct themselves. But he is none of these. Just what does he have to do before some people on here will say he should go. You can't blindly and sheepishly follow this man forever.

And can't this debate be conducted in a less insulting manner. Resorting to social stereotyping of 'tanktops' and 'Guardian readers', and worse, using such homophobic name-calling as 'pooftas' and 'fairies', may be OK at home and with your friends, but it is not OK on a public forum like this and I think the moderators should do more to excise this language from the debate. A frank exchange of opinions is fine, QPR is a community club,so let's hear the views of that community, but lets keep playground name-calling, demographic insult, and sexually-oriented slurs out of it.

So calling someone a fairy is now classed as homophobic ?

Wow, what will we put on the tree this year.........

Players player award is half a popularity contest. Kenny played well as did Derry, but Taarbs was the reason we came first. Loads of other clubs had players equal to Kenny and Derry - no one had a Taarbs
