Just looking at the review of last season's goals on Player. I counted at least 4 crucial goal assists from him. Pity his season then petered out due to the boo-boys destroying his confidence (we love one dont we). Hopefully they'll give him a chance next season as he's still one of the few players in the squad with genuine skill and the ability to go past a player WHEN his confidence is high. IMO too many fickle fans wrote him off too quickly and don't appreciate what a good player we have.

I've always rated him, even when the ''boo-boys'' started last season after failing to score. Could be vital next season.

I think he will be completely different. The problem last season was with the dogfight and then new manager every game was major pressure and the boo boys picked up on every little fault, which affected him greatly.

This season we'll have a proper pre season under a very professional management team and then start the season ona level playing field to everyone else. It will allow the likes of SWP to play with less pressure and exert themselves on the game. I think if playing he could have a good impact in the first few games and that really could set him up for the season.

I think people just thought they were going to get more from SWP......maybe thinking he had a point to prove......how different his season may have been had his fantastic goal against west brom been allowed?......

Nah, not convinced.

Haven't decided whether he's a gold digger or just lost it completely.

Can't control the ball, can't pass, and deffo can't shoot. He's also not 21 anymore, so unlikely to improve.

He was played in too many different positions last year. I like him.

Sorry...who are "the boo boys". I thought he was given a lot of time. He was shocking and after half a season he got a lot of groans all the time because he passed the ball to the opposition every time and couldn't control a ball if it was in slow motion. Every player gets the groans when the miss place easy passes (don't give me out of position - that doesn't stop you being able to do a 5 yard pass under no pressure).

Only played who got a real boo was JB when subbed v Liverpool and he deserved it. I gave him some and I think it is quite funny how so many people go on about booing can only be negative...well it turned that tw4ts form around didn't it?
