Would anyone want to loan Barton and not play him, but let him train with their team and possibly injure one of their players.

Not the best idea I've ever heard.

And if we're giving a fee to a team to get him out of a ban, I'd suspect both clubs would indeed be in hot water with the FA.

We done it with Clint Hill to Forest season just gone so yes. Just means we then have a squad of 24

Yep, or some Championship kid wants to make a name for himself and crocks him in training, leaving him unplayable and unsellable. Just too many things can go wrong.

Joey has a huge target on his back, maybe just leaving him out for half a season would be good if we're going to keep him. And make sure he stays out the spotlight, no tweets, he just gets his head down and grafts a bit. He needs to let his feet do the talking for once.

Stop answering that stanley i deleted that post, as will had an answer before i asked the question.
BTW if it was the difference between paying a loan fee or stumping up £11mill it would be a cheap option imo

Ah sorry Dave, just seen you deleted it. Anyway I can't imagine that not breaching some kind of FA rule.
