Yeah but the fact he's England no 2 means nothing. He's only anywhere near the England squad because the good English keepers (other than Hart) have all said they're not interested, such as Robinson and Foster.

It couldn't be summed up more by the fact "England's no 3 keeper" has not played in the top 3 tiers of English football... he's only played in league 2!!

For me Green is a liability and in an ideal world my preference would be Given, followed by Robinson and Foster, but realistically, you would assume Robinson is most realistic as just relegated, followed by Foster who is owned by a championship side, although expect West Brom will again try to loan or buy him so they would be in the driving seat.

He is definitely a number two.
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

How and why did I start supporting QPR in Estonia:

          I'd prefer Benny Green myself!!

Rob - he's too prone to Tony Roberts-esque clangers.

I'd of taken Sorenson from Sjoke for a season but he's getting well past it and just missed out on the Euro's as he's injured his spine (quite important for a keeper).

I definetely think we'll be getting someone but what's happened to the influx of GK's our past glorious leaders signed? Murphy dug in and cemented a place, Trani never came out of the closet, Elvis left the building......
I would've said goodbye to Cerny.
Paddy may well head to Leeds but could they afford him? If he stays I'd be happy enough as I think he's been carrying an injury this season gone and hopefully that'll clear up over summer.

Maybe Sparky will surprise us all an unvail a few signings from the Euro's or that we've never heard of.

          We'll see.........
I need some time in the sunshine, I gotta slow it right down.

              Foster
              Al-Habsi
              Given
              Gomes
              McGregor
              Green

I'd rate the ones we've been linked with in this order.

The thing with keepers is that often a great shot stopper will catch the eye but it will be overlooked that often the reason the shots have come in in the first place is that the defence hasn't been properly managed (by the keeper) and the area isn't being dominated. This is why Mancini picked Hart over Given for instance, or why Spurs went for Friedel's experience over anything else.

Most of those in the the above list are pure shot stoppers.

Sign Tim Howard. He can score goals as well.

The sad thing is he'll probably get more than Zamora in a season....

If the opportunity to get him knocks Facto old bean....
2011-2013, 2 seasons in the Premiership, 76 games, 14 wins........two years of my life I'll never get back!!

2013/2014 mediocrity topped off with a win at Wembley....

2014/2015 was pretty much the same as 2011-2013.....

                            2015/2016, average at best.....

                            2016/2017, same old, same old....

                            2017/2018, aim low, avoid disappointment!

Its the hope that kills you!
