Great foil & unit for Cisse to work off.
This thread should have ended after this...... nail on the head.

Are people actually serious on this board sometimes?? Saying they would be unhappy if Zamora started up front for us at the start of next season?!

Don't you know W12_Ranger is the Adrian Durham of WATRB - only posts to be controversial, spark debate and be generally boorish

Absolutely spot on I really do despair with some of our fans

People are saying they would rather have Helguson over Zamora?!?

Don't get me wrong HH had a brilliant start to the season, but Zamora brings so much more.

I'm convinced that unless a player scores 20 goals a season, regardless of what position he plays, people (in particular W12) will have a dig at them.
Stop being a numpty I'm not fussed about his goal scoring ratio, I'm more concerned we've signed a £6 million carthorse.

Some people have very short memories, about 3 or 4 games it seems. Zamora has proved that he is a more than capable starter in the Prem for years and a few bad games doesnt change that.

Yep, more than happy for him to be in our squad next season, we will strengthen the team and he possibly won't be 1st choice as a starter, but so much better to have BZ around the 1st 11 than what we have had previously.

              For me, a no brainer.

And to think 18 months ago we were excited by the arrival of Rob Hulse. Now we are already sniffy that England international Bobby Zamora isn't good enough for the Hoops. Priceless.

Stop it W12, you are starting to embarrase yourself.

I thought his fee was undisclosed? Where did you get 6 million from?

2 caps, one of those as sub. I suppose you'd be chuffed with Nugent and Ricketts up front as well.

Not to say Zamora's a poor player but you won't get anywhere with that line of argument.

My point was that England caps in themselves are not a definitive mark of a quality player. Good players only getting a handful of the caps they deserved also bears that out.

Of all the ways to defend Zamora his international record is by far the least relevant.

                                No.

Always been over rated, getting on now, no pace, inconsistent.

Same goes for Bothroyd and DJ.
