  • Would you be happy with Zamora in the starting 11 next season?

Personally I don't think he is all that and I would like to see him replaced...

        Yes I would be.

Never bought to score bundles of goals & does what it says on the tin.

Great foil & unit for Cisse to work off.

Completely agree. His fitness doesn't seem to be 100% but he is what we need in a lot of premiership games.

Not directing this at anyone in this thread but a lot of people seem to have expected him to score more goals.

He's never really been that sort of striker. He's done his job reasonably well, especially as he is new to the club, topped off by a truly epic performance against Arsenal.

If we see more of the player who played against the gooners we have a real asset and I wouldn't mind seeing him in the starting line up at all.

It's also worth remembering that he was brought in to play up top with Cisse and then Cisse got himself banned and we started playing one up top so give him another chance I say.

Absolutely fine with Zamora not sure why so many don't see what he brings to the games.

So very true. I remember how gutted he looked when Cisse got himself sent off.

Age old problem. Not many rated Helguson during his first stint with us. OK, his first touch was an open goal miss v Palace and he WAS shocking in front of goal for quite a while, BUT it was easy to see what he bought to the team - superb holding up - is extremely important the higher you go as the game is more about ball retention - aerial ability and a presence to scare the oppo centre backs.

He got stick from many, who couldn't see past his shocking scoring ability.

I see Zamora in the same mould. IF Hughes is going to stick with one up front, then it'd be a shame as that would mean one of Zamora or Cisse, as I see little point in putting Cisse anywhere but up top, but other than that more than happy with Zamora and don't understand why he gets stick tbh.

to hold up play , it does help if you can trap a ball

I was disapointed with Zamora this season but he's been in my dream team for a few years now. He's very good at what he does & he didn't look 100% fit at QPR.

I expect a very good Bobby Zamora next season
                        Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                        And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

I'd be happy to see Bobby Zamora in the Queen's Park Rangers starting line-up.
I have been up to now, and I will be in the foreseeable.

Happy with Zamora as he gives us balance to our team, holds the ball up, works hard closing down, defends well when needed and creates chances for others.
One for all.... and all for one

He's done about enough to start next season but have admit it's a close one with him.

I think the home spurs game when he took a lifetime to turn when he was in the box (i looked had a chat with the bloke next to me, went to the bogs, got a cup of tea) and returned to my seat and he was still turning, if cisse had the chance it would have been quick turn and back of the net. For a centre forward with England aspirations he does have the turning circle of a barge but we do as a club tend to be attracted to signing forwards that have difficulty moving.

Hopefully with a settled team, we might see more of him but at the moment imho we need to concentrate in getting players in, that can stop teams running through us unchecked.
