I'd say give it back to Adel. Seems to play really well when wearing the armband, but someone like Clint Hill to be the real captain and leader. Worked in the championship when Adel had the armband, but Derry and Hill were the real leaders.

it would not surprise me if mark hughes give the armband to bobby zamora... i think out of all the players in our squad it should be clint hill.

Poor communicator, no leadership qualities and poor concentration

He had a few good games but lets be honest over the course of the season he hasn't been great. Started ok I thought he looked decent at first but then it was easy to see why Sunderland got rid.

Clint Hill didn't "save his season". Ferdinand is the guy who plays alongside the centre half, the Glen Roeder/ Terry Fenwick to the Stevie Wicks/ Alan Macdonald defender. When Clint came into the team Anton finally had a tough, no nonsense centre half to play alongside and this left Anton free to do all the moping up which he was doing brilliantly in our run in. For me one of the first names on the team sheet.

Captain? Don't think we have anyone of captain material who is guaranteed to start. The one criticism I've had of Anton, and Faurlin, is they are quiet characters. The captain needs to be a big personality (tho' not Barton big). Be amazed if next year's captain is yet at the club.

Not a fan of Ferdinand still very much has a rickett waiting to happen,think his distribution is pretty poor,he likes a 50 yard lump up field. If we can get better in the summer then i think we should.
Not a captain for me.
