Joey might be a f***ing lunatic BUT.... he is a decent footballer and our midfield would be poorer without him...

I think without the added pressure of the captaincy, we could get to see a very different player.

Love to know what he had on Linekar cos he shut up pretty quickly.

Dull and world-class>>>>mediocre and interesting character

Anyway Shearer was well capable of a well executed kick to the head himself, and loved throwing his elbows around too

But as a footballer, give me Lineker over Barton any day of the week.

How many times did Lineker get suspended?

Lineker wasnt a good enough diver for me. Would have got thru to the final in 1990 if the ##### knew how to dive but no...he came home a loser instead

As noble as it may be hearing about Drogba and Kompany setting up charities in less well off nations, it bores the **** out of me...

I'd rather be reading which dogs these young, dumb and full of come footballers had been caught hanging out the back off in Vegas and passing judgement....

Too many footballers are boring ****s these days, and in the past i.e Shearer

Always liked Barton , my kind of player , where ever he plays he shows passion and that's good enough for me whether in our shirt or another club

Give me a fighter rather than poof all day long

I believe players don't fall into just two categories to be fair.

A friend of mine is an investigative journalist and was doorstepping/watching Lineker many moons ago. At the time his soon had leukemia he wasn't always attending hospital to visit him - was rather busy "elsewhere" with some bint... Not the Mr nice guy he would have you believe at all....
