  • When is punishment not enough?

Ok just been listening to talksport and the usual hysteria about JB. Then they started talking to the Swindon chairman who have got Luke McCormick training with them and Durham is again saying he should never play football again.
So where do we draw the line? Our whole society is based on rules that some of are criminal and if you break them you get punished with fines, prison etc.
So if a person has been sentenced for his crime and has paid his dues to society why should that person then be continued to be punished.
This argument can in my eyes be carried on to the Joey Barton case too.Why are people calling for him to be banned from football for life or sacked when the punishment has already bee dished out by the FA?
Joey will serve his punishment is that not enough?

Punishment is one thing, your reputation after that is in the toilet. Like it or not people are full of prejudice and slow to forgive. Banning him for life is stupidity. (Cut his goolies off, I say) He's made it hard to be trusted to do the job he's paid to do for any future employer.
