Sacking him would cost money, no way!
Like him or not he's a very good playerUnder Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
And many more mistakes
LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Sack him...... just like what would happen to him in any other walk of life for bringing his organisation and his practice into disrepute for the unpteenth time this year... and for the God knows how many times during his career.
Yes he may be a good footballer - but even then he's fickle....... and there are more than enough players out there who can do as good as job as him, and who are within our budget range.
Thanks Joey.... but **** off..... please.

It's comments like this that create this myth. Until this incident what "bad press" has he created for QPR.....? He was wrongly and ridiculously sent off against Norwich, and done nothing else. There was no consistent bad press.
This should be treated as an isolated incident, in which he lost it and was stupid and naive, however, it was imo still nothing compared to any career threatening challenge you see every week.... Nobody was even hurt by what he did. The bark was far worse than the bite, but unfortunately everyone is getting carried away.
Also they all drag up incidents that must have been 5 years or more ago and say things like he never changes, always doing stuff etc... well i've not seen it myself bar this one incident where he felt hard done by and reacted, after being punched, so i would suggest he has changed a lot over those years.
He should be backed.
Also to try and put some perspective on this.... Ballotelli must have had more incidents this season alone than Barton's had over the last 5 years, including a shocking tackle recently where he could've broken Song's leg, yet went unpunished for it, even after review, in a game he was sent off in and arguably could've been sent off 3 times, whilst ending a career..... Yet his ban was nothing compared to "repeat offender" Barton. Laughable!Last edited by Del; 24-05-2012, 12:05 PM.
