  • Exclusive – Bircham: QPR are disappointed by the length of Barton’s ban

QPR coach Marc Bircham has told talkSPORT that the club are disappointed with the length of Joey Barton’s ban for violent conduct.

The temperamental midfielder has been handed a 12-game ban by the FA after he was found guilty of two charges of violent conduct during his side’s clash with Manchester City.

Barton, 29, received a four-game ban after being red carded during the clash on the last day of the Premier League season for elbowing Carlos Tevez.

think they should punish him purely for the fact that he didnt stamp on Tevez's face when he had the chance....let me down on that one Joey
then this 12 game ban wouldve been worth it!
