I'll back my captain if I believe him to be innocent, and I'll back my captain if I think he should be given the benefit of the doubt. I will not back my captain if he deliberately sets about injuring people and shows no remorse for having done so. This does not make me a sheep, it makes he a human being. I want a captain who wears the badge with honour and pride.

I didn't expect him to be an angel and suspected it would be a rocky road. I did not agree that he was a suitable captain but hoped he would embrace the role and be a leader on and off the pitch.
However, his actions on the pitch speak for themselves, as do his tweets and he has merely proven that a leopard truly does not change its spots.
I have a 10 year old son who follows Rangers all over the Country. He is instilled with proper values, morals and respect. what Barton did at the Ethiad flies in the face of all those things I teach my kids and I will not excuse the pathetic behaviour displayed in the name of misplaced loyalty.
Your comments regarding me are duly noted however, my support for my football club is not fettered by the fact I despise that pathetic excuse of a human being. That I should be ashamed to call myself Rangers because I don't approve of his actions is truly laughable.
If you excuse and indeed regale in his behaviour as you clearly do, I would suggest it is you who should be ashamed, Rangers fan or not.
I'm not going to waste time bouncing this backwards and forwards - that is my opinion and it sits well along side my moral fibre and I don't need you to abuse me for it.#standuptocancer

If someone needs to be fouled to stop an opponent scoring or if a dive needs to be taken to win a penalty then so be it. Its called football...youve probably seen a lot of it on TV as those things happen in football all the time. Some of you are so high up on your high horse i doubt whether the TV remote works from where you are.Like i said...SHEEP...BAAAAAA. He will obviously get a ban as he himself expected to but he will be back next season and if he puts in some displays like he did towards the end of this season then we will be a better team for it. He is well liked in the dressing room and if it had been anyone of the other players who did what he did would there be the media craziness? He wears a rangers shirt and i will back him

7 games imo;
4 for Teves (2nd red), 3 for Aguero, will get away with Kompany's blagging his head was pushed and there was no contact.
So 7, and a warning off 1 season ban for any more misdemeanours.. anyone know what time we get announcement? I'm hoping De Jong to replace Barton with Clint/Anton taking up captain role permanently.
