    Thanks for the info, Mellowhoop.

Could be that Rhodes from Huddersfield is a tad more interesting prospect.Who knows?

Ambrose must have very bruised shins through kicking himself so much, for rejecting our approach.Unless he would rather be a big fish in the champs, in which case we're lucky he turned us down.Seems to have gone off the boil these days apart from one strike v man u, he should rejoin NW at leeds only manager that gets the best from him

You could be right about the Leeds connection you are pointing out,QPRDave.

Quite frankly, to me he seems to be too much of a one-season wonder, really.
But who knows, he could have benefitted from a move to our club those few seasons ago.

Clyne's good but he won't settle for a squad place at a non top 4 club and I doubt Onuoha will be dropped. Parr can play left and right full back and would be a great squad player.

Rhodes is hugely overrated. No better than Le Fondre (costing £400k) who did okay coming off the bench for Reading but hardly set the division alight.

Gary Madine at Sheff Wed looks a better prospect - Andy Carroll lite - but he's still very raw also.

Would like to see us have a punt on Nick Powell at Crewe, probably good value at £2m or so.

Zaha is very inconsistant & that's my Crystal Palace friend telling that to me
            Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
            And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

I mentioned Madine on here a while back, good striker now, and will get better,
seems a good finisher, quick, and good in the air

We have enough "championship" players as it is who have had a good lesson in the premiership. We need players in the mould of Cisse and Diakite to avoid another relegation fight and I for one is gonna trust Mark and Tony to bring them in.

Was rather hoping they would be selling he's underpants in the club shop at a reduced rate. As they are rather expensive on the high street.

I started this thread partly of traditional reasons.
Or in other words, to cheer you folks a bit up after the Chelsea "disaster"

Remember the song from The Bee Gees; "It started with a joke"

Ps.You have to admit Clyne is a good player, don´t you?

Am I alone in thinking that if clyne was that good, he'd have been snapped up by a premier league club ages ago?

I feel the same mate. Not seen him too much to comment, although have to say he did look half handy when I have seen him, but its been a couple years his name been banded about and surley somebody would have made a cheeky bid for him if he was that good; ie Bale & Walcott?
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.
