In addition to my aforementioned Lee Cook, Im going to go with the following to complete my list:

Paul Furlong - that goal alone is enough for me to class him as a legend.
Kevin Gallen - needs no explanation.
Gareth Ainsworth - What a man. Never forget those 2 goals away at Rushden, great day out.
Shaun Derry & Clint Hill - Ran outta people so merged these into 1 . Not been at Rangers long but have worn their hearts on their sleeves and played their hearts out week in week out. Although Hill moreso than Derry, both have far exceeded any expectation on them this year and done the club, and themselves, proud.



PS: Adel only just misses out but well worth a mention. Never before, in my life time, can I remember such a naturally gifted player pull on the hoops. Neither have I witnessed a player give me as many semi lob ons at football as he has making defenders look utterly stupid (never tire of seing hsi goal vs Swansea!). Made so many a Saturday worth my while, especially the year we won the CCC.

clive allen was one of the greatest ever goal machines ever to play for us
brian bedford i met him once in the club shop and he described himself as a man who got the ball in the back of the net and yes brian bedford you certainly had no trouble getting goals for qpr
lee cook for donating 250 000 of his own money to help the club in financially bad times

Ted, at last Ive found something to agree with you on ;-)

I was womndering why nobody had mentioned Terry Venables. Good player in his time and certainly as a manager did us proud.

Other than crossing London to another team that obvioulsy cant be mentioned, I think he deserves the status of 'Minor Legend'!!

so magnificent was he that jim gregory came up with a master plan to keep him
terry would own all the playing staff but jim gregory would retain ownership of the ground
this could only become possible because of venables uncanny ability to buy and sell in the transfer market
but venables moved on and that was that really, but the team that terry took to the top flight and finished 5th was so full of brilliant youngsters it was possible to stay in the prem for the next fifteen years

This does show up again about era's people were born, I am sure if Social Media was available a few years earlier people like Tony Ingham, Ron Springet, Mark Lazarus, Ivor Powell and George Goddard would get a few votes too but my Dad and the like are just not into message boards etc.
My first game was in 1971 so most of my legends were from that era, just as others are from the Early 90's teams. Interestingly not many votes from the 1982-1985 era either probably because people who saw them probably saw Stan and Gerry etc too but Stainrod, Waddock, Allen, Roeder all deserve mentions too.
