Get rid of him, he has no part to play in QPR. He is a violent thug on and off the field. he has proved this over and over. OK, he apologised to the players and fans for what he did, but he shows no remorse no regret. And he says he knew exactly what he was doing, both to Tevez and Aguero. That kind of player we and the game can do without.

QPR are a team with ideals and standards, we have a proud history, we have a great happy mixed fanbase. That's what we should be building on right now. A player like him attracts the wrong kind of people. To be honest, I have been ashamed of what some QPR fans have said in his defence ie that it was funny, that it was acceptable in the circumstances, that QPR are a working class team and in that context it was OK.

Let's get this straight, what he did was wrong on every level. he's done it before, he'll do it again, end of.

So get rid of him, We didn't pay anything for him so just dump him. Let's have a captain who can where the badge with pride and honour.

              Personally I wouldn't describe it as a witch-hunt.

I'd say it's a tad patronising to call Neetoneeto "stupid" based on an assumption he has been "led" by the the media without forming that opinion independently.

Happy to have an intelligent debate here about this. Can anyone offer one good reason why, given Barton's repeat offences, lack of any shred of remorse, average footballing skills, QPR should keep him on. Please post. I await...

Id keep him because otherwise we are left with Derry,Buzsaky or Ephraim to partner Faurlin.

could just be me being cynical but i don't see the captaincy being important nowadays. just doesn't have the same meaning.

think some of these players are literally too big for their own boots and wouldn't really listen to orders from a player who they'd consider their equal - if not lesser.

This goes for all/most clubs, not just us.

your assuming we wont have diakate and any new midfield signings....i say get rid as he`s a liability...what did he give us last season?....a hand full of decent performances thats what!....when the pressures on his head goes and he tries to blame a team mate, nice bloke!...most of us detest john terry because of his personality but at least he`s a half decent footballer!

I said why we should keep him.

At the end of the day, football back in the day was played like that, so in all fairness im sure Barton would fit right in if it was still played in the same manner.

                          The fact is..

                          1. We cant sell him - No point we wont fetch any cash for him
                          2. We cant Sack him - No point we will lose loads of cash on him

                          Other reasons...

                          1. He is a fantastic hardworking footballer (Yes he had some bad games, but I remember more good games than bad)
                          2. His job role is always a role for unsung heroes. He has overall had a good season
                          3. People hate him, but hes our player and to be honest that spurs him on more producing better performances.

If hes a W ANKER of the field I dont care, if hes a ****** of the field I dont care.

Of course I worry that he will get sent of again, but I worry that about ALL our players currently.

Deal with it, Joey Barton is a good footballer, sorry!

Id only get rid if we have replacements and at the moment we do not.

He can easily be got rid of. If he's not in breach of contract and get riddable of that way, we just pay him off and offload him to some sucker team

His work rate is good but he's chasing his #### much of the time, his passing is not accurate or well-timed enough often giving the ball away, he never makes the final telling pass, he has no deft touch or subtlety, rarely makes assists. He flatters to deceive.

He has no leadership skills, dividing rather than ruling. Obviously there is no role model.

He is easily replaced. I am sure MH is working on it right now.

He may have fitted in in the 70s, but he doesn't now, and in any case football was **** then compared to now. The club is going forward not backwards.

He's not even hard. Kneeing someone in the back when they're not looking is the act of a coward.

I want to see someone positive, creative, solid, who acts like a decent human being, who can play attractive football, who doesn't behave like a ****.

means to an end, for me.

i recall plenty of other club's fans giving grief when warnock took the helm here, overall people either liked him or hated him and barton generates similar sentiments. however, warno did a job for us and towards the end of our champ winning season any of those other club fans would have taken warnock in a heartbeat if that were their team in that position. football's a results game and it's results not intentions that matter when you look at the league table.

same for barton, for me. if he helps us get to mid-table security (and it'll be a job...as we need to steady the ship, and joey is just that tad excitable) then i have no issue with the guy.
                                come on you r's!
