  • Is anyone surprised...

... that we batter Blackpool and escape with a draw???

Where are all those posters commenting about not needing a goalscorer, our midfield will score loads this year... gone a bit quiet now.

1 game in. 2 points lost. Could be very important come May.

Not so negative now as it becomes more realistic.

Do you not think the other players chat about how desperately short we are up front. All this affects team morale and confidence.

Oh did anyone notice how Leeds got on yesterday???? GO AND BUY BECKFORD BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE..

Well I am not surprised as it kind of ended up as I thought it would. Last season we scored the least goals, you would had thought that a striker would be top priority, I cannot believe they did not sort that out. Crazy. When you think, we spent 3.5m on a midfield player that we did not really need, 1m on an unknown striker, surely it would had been better to had bought 2 good forwards for the same money?

As i said a couple of weeks ago a quality striker is the difference between winning and drawing games as we've seen yesterday.

Helguson missed his usual sitter yesterday as we saw most wks last season, taarabat is'nt a forward all though some people on here would want you to believe he is!

The line up was poor. I am sure JM thought he was playing a friendly as our best defender, midfielder and striker Were on the bench. We should have been 4-0 up and the game dead but not QPR. Long ball specialist Fitz Hall don't do the basics and we are 0-1 down. Looked good in parts yesterday but not enough experiance when it mattered with to many flicks and tricks. Last 20 minutes were better but when you don't have a left footed wide man its pontless going there all the time.

I'm not getting too carried away, we should have won that game 3-0, hit post, hit bar, they have two breakaways the whole game and score one. Long way to go, and teams that have so called strikers Forest, Sheffield United and Boro, never scored one, so too soon to make judgements.

It's the same old story from last season and we haven't solved the problem and let's be honest if it wasn't for a fluke we would of lost yesterday.

YAWN....more negativity...its so so boring. change the record ffs. Helguson was unlucky not to score, he hit the bar. A couple of centimentres lower and it would have been a totally different story on here today, and you all know it! Honestly cant believe some of the posters on here. Yes of course we need a striker, no argument from me there whatsoever but get behind the team for crying out loud. It was only the first game, and we were GENUINELY unlucky not to win it. Luck evens itself out over the course of the season.

I am not surprised but little bit disappointed. Looking at the bright side, at least we came off with an equalizer rather than embarrassing home defeat. There are 45 games remaining so cheer up.

not moaning and was 100% behind the team yesterday, my thoat still hurts.

you say we were unlucky yesterday.

the bottom line is that had we started with Beckford we would have been luckier

Trying hard not to feel negative, but gotta realize there's still a long way to go... and more importantly still time to buy/loan a decent little striker!

Silly me I forgot you get points and promoted for drawing with teams because your two bob strikers would not hit water if fell out of a boat. The problem last year was scoring and we threw 2pts away yesterday because we did not invest in a top drew striker. Not being negative just being factual.

you only have to look at the goal rato's of our forwards to not be surprised scoring wise they are quite pitiful and pathetic
