Would be a good sub player to come on and win us back a point or two.

      Wages be to high.

Sorry i had to double take at that... Let me think, are Berbatov and Cisse too much alike.... Ones a predator with lighning pace, the other barely breaks a sweat. No i wouldn't say they were alike.....

Berbatov is a very clever and technically excellent player, who would i'm sure compliment Cisse perfectly. That said i don't think in a million years we'll be getting a striker of his standing ahead of other teams. Don't forget he was prem top scorer last season (or was it year before?) and they bought him for about £30m.

As for Owen, i can't see it. Firstly i doubt his injury record would fill MH with encouragement, and secondly he has stables up north and that is his real passion now so will not come south imo.

            He played well against city.

Regarding Owen- I thought the days when we bought sicknotes were over. Helgussongood when fit), Hall, Rowlands and Dyer spring to mind.

swp lost the ball nearly every touch against city-bar a couple of little runs when under pressure i thought he was poor again.

I respect you opinion-but not many of our players managed to keep the ball for more than the odd second during that match.
                    Just my take at it.
If we want a better player on the right(played there for most parts of the season) I´d go for Victor Moses!!

No, like Dyer was a punt, Barton was a punt, let's only get players whom we know will contribute positively

Owen said about a year ago, he would only go to a top flight side and not demean himself by finishing in the lower leagues. Okay, we are not in a lower league but he has some delusion that he can still hack it at the best - despite stats proving otherwise - and we may not be worthy of him.
Good and useful player when fit but think there are more determined and committed players than this mercenary out there.

I would have said yes in a hart beat, but now we have Cisse and Zamora i think if we go after another front man we should look at youth..

I would only consider him on a pay as you play contract. He could be useful to play as a sub,
