  • man city away (my story)

me and my brother set off at 9.30 got about 85 miles seen a car a (mini) with qpr fans in so we decided to catch up with it and give them a u rrrrs out the window, just as we was passing car went bang, head gasket blew. anyway rang my old man who didnt have a ticket told him to fill his car up and bring it to us and for him to wait for the toe truck, hour and half later he turns up and we thought happy days telling him hes a legend so we set off again with less than hour and a half to do 99 miles so i had decided to rag his car, doing a ton making good timing sat nav was saying arrival would be 15.07 all of a sudden 30 miles from manchester oil light came on, another car bites the dust! lol ended up drinking cans on the hardshoulder waiting to be toed home which cost 500 quid. gutted as f*** to have missed what would no doubt of been one of the best days of my life and it turned out to be the 2nd game we missed all season after arsenal away . heres a video

Fair play, if true Im sure that story will be told many times. I love a story of away days, good or bad, drunk or sober, hi or low, rich or poor, win or lose, north or west, train, coach or car away days are always the best days imo. I broke down going to wolves away this year, I dont enjoy driving to any game as like a beer, AA bloke who picked me up got a right ear bashing, poor bloke didnt no what hit him. Auto gear boxes I **** em, good for eating smoking and txting but ££££ when they go wrong mine got scraped.

Southwales, if you're the one holding the can you really look like Tim from the office and I initially thought your bro in the car was Elvis.

                Funny story
