  • Enjoyed today

Started off the day with the hump but ended up really enjoying it!

Thanks to LymeHoop on this site, who helped me out tremendously with a spare for today, I was sat in south africa road.

The girls have their season tickets in the lower loft that I paid for last week eventually and so with three of us sorted, I rang the box office this morning to book a ticket for his nibs. Firstly was told there were no tickets available in south africa road (the block where I was sitting) so said I would book him a ticket in the Q block (had to go for the cheapest thing). I was then told only members can go in upper loft so I then asked can season ticket holder still take guests? Yes, was the reply, but they will need to ring to do the booking. I then replied how it was our daughters that were the season ticket holders and one is a junior. Ok, fine, says blokey at other end, we can do that for you now. He takes the names and then asks which of our daughters is a season ticket holder. Ermm, both I reply. He then says that there'll be an extra charge of £3 whatever it is blah blah booking fee (I thought the club had done ajway with charging fees for debit cards? Can anyone confirm?) to which I reply I don't want to pay a booking fee, and can he put the ticket on hold which will be paid for in cash at the box office when we come along in a couple of hours? No can do was the reply.

So, a couple of hours later I went to the kiosk where matchday tickets are on sale, poor souls in front of me got stung for £120 for four of them (much moaning and groaning from them to which I made sympathetic noises), and then I asked for a ticket in QU and was told they didn't have any there, they only had the £30 tickets. So I joined the queue for the box office and asked for one there and was issued with one which just about says it all about the craftiness there as they try obviously to sell the dearer tickets first whilst holding back those available in Q and H blocks.

I then sorted out plymouth tickets for daughter and her boyfriend, met up with family and then off to game. So there I was up in south africa road with lymehoop, the girls down in the lower loft, and my beloved across from me over in Q block. How strange was that, all in seperate parts of the ground?

He thoroughly enjoyed himself up in Q block (I daren't ask, though he did admit to a crafty joining in of get your #### out for the lads when some lass walked by pitchside because I wasn't there to frown on him ) and it was quite pleasant up in south africa road, though I have to say, there were plenty of seats near us, which was strange seeing as I was told there was no availability in SAR.

As for the game, well we had enough chances to win the game but didn't take advantage, and they ended up scoring with possibly their only chance of the game following a muck up by Fitz Hall. Routledge was MOTM in the first half, more difficult to judge in the second.
We need a goal scorer so it will be interesting to see what happens in the next few weeks.

It was good to be back at Rangers, and nice to see some familiar faces. Oh, and I saw Olly and his wife walking by outside before the game whilst waiting in the queue at the box office. Plenty of fans (blackpool and QPR) were shaking his hand and chanting his name.

Oh, and Ramage's goal. It was so funny, but fabby

Many thanks to Lyme again for helping us out. God Bless you honey x

Releif for me in the end 1st 30mins they should have been dead and buried but the same old thing miss chances gives the oppo confidence and so they got better and scored and it was left to ramage to show our woeful forwards the way to do it
Gerry Francis the greatest all round player to come from these shores:super_man:
