Who would you keep for next season?

Personally I think we have the makings of a good team but our squad needs improving. I would hang onto the following players:

Clint Hill
Armand Traore
Taye Taiwo
Nedum Onuha
Luke Young
Anton Ferdinand
Samba Diakite
Shaun Derry
Adel Taarabt
Jamie Mackie
Alle Faurlin
Shaun Wright-Phillips
Bobby Zamora
Djibril Cisse

Sat on the fence a bit about Tommy Smith & DJ Campbell, could be useful squad players. I would also give Helgusson 1 more year if he's fit but reading between the lines, I think he may be finished. I also am interested to see what Hughes does about Joey, wouldn't be surprised if he makes an example of him. I think the rest can definitely go (and many of them are out of contract).

If I'm anywhere near correct, that means we could be in the market for anything up to 8 or 10 players in the summer.

well you have named 15, who i wouldn't disagree with apart from perhaps derry and kenny. i think we need a legend of a keeper moving forward and kenny doesn't fill those boots, and derry is too slow in his own boots too but could be retained as a squad player when the first choice midfielders are short.

hughesy hasn't given campbell much of a chance and i still feel he has something to offer.

Hard to know what Hughes' thoughts are on DJ, he's been injured for large parts of this season. For me, I'd probably have him in the squad. For the 1m or so we'd get for him, better to let him see out the 2nd year of his contract.

If we can get 1m for him i would let him go.

You've also got to consider who's gonna come here that's any better? I'd guess Zamora and Cisse are gonna stay and are both gonna want to be playing regular, who are we going to get that will be happy to warm the bench and are significantly better than Campbell?

well, that's just it...bobby and djibril up front and on form are a handful for anyone. so campbell would be a good benchwarmer...who i actually think still deserves his chance. anyone else we sign would play second fiddle so would we get anyone of better calibre?
