If Roy Hodgson takes terry to the finals then i hope the f*cker gets slated all over the press, and is booted out.How the hell can a player with a court case pending be allowed to represent England?

Unless Terry is cleared of the charges prior to his taking part in the tournament I will really struggle to get behind England in this.

Agree Stainrod, it's Terry's legal team that have pushed the case back, and i wouldn't be surprised if the fa backed that tactic, so they could then select him for the euros.

Despite everything I despise about Terry, his past and current antics, English law dictates innocent until proven guilty. One of the great concepts that puts the G in GB.

The issue is whether on current form should he go and the answer is no and I suspect that if others were fit or not injury prone he would not be getting on the plane.

Take your point Leveller which is why I want a trial prior to the tournament. If he is found innocent then, although I will continue to loathe the guy for other reasons, I will back England even with him in the team. But the alleged offence must have been six months ago now, it is hardly as if it is some complicated fraud trial: it should be possible to arrive at a verdict pretty swiftly. And if he is found guilty, even if he appeals, I don't think he should be anywhere near the England set up.

If it was a footballing decision it wouldn't make any difference, but the fact it's clearly because of the court case and what happened that only one will be selected. In that scenario, for Rio to miss out for Terry's actions, aleged or otherwise, is a disgrace.

As said above his legal team managed to push it back so he didn't miss games and the euros..... How was this allowed to happen anyway? It's a fu$%ing legal hearing so why wasn't he ordered to attend when it suited them, not when it suited him?!! I'm sure if i was called into something like this i couldn't get it delayed 6 months until it suited me because of my work commitments..... It should be the same for everyone regardless of profile.

You also have to aask why were they so determined to push it back.... maybe it's becasue they know the evidence is damning and he'll be found guilty. Blimey we've all seen the footage, which in itself is pretty definitive.

So to England... If this decision is made, a great player like Rio hass his international career ended prematurely becasue of Terry, and so Terry can play. This is fundamentally wrong.

It looks bad now, but just imagine how much worse the decision will look if Terry is found guilty!

Also, all this BS about he can't play games in quick succession is the reason, rubbish! That may prevent him being a starter, but he would be the best back up option if that was the logic, in case one of the starters was to get injured. he may not be as good as he was, but he's still better than most England CB's.

agree del, and it feels to me like the victim or in this case the victim's family is paying the price for family loyalty.

Well to add a spice and twist to this, it is what you get when you engage one of the UK's top criminal lawyers. By the way indirectly they may have asked but used the employers request. It was a letter given to Justice Riddle from the CEO of Chelsea that asked for a deferment, not just of the PL season but international commitments as well. The former i could make a case for but international, who and why that was asked for is strange.

Unforgettably this is not the first time that there is a link between QPR and Terry's defence team, they were involved in the Kiyan Prince murder case.

General rule of thumb is, the longer a case takes to get to trial because of stalling, the more the guilt. And the FA know it. He's guilty.
