  • Raid on City

As we are probably in their good books and they will do doubt strengthen even further how about cheeky bids for 1 or all of the following players?

    Kolo Toure
    Adam Johnson
    James Milner
    Nigel De Jong

Would love De Jong & Johnson. Cant see it somehow though. But, then again, I wouldnt have seen Cisse coming and he has so I suppose ya never know with us these days!

Get the impression Kolo Toure is the sorta bloke thats more than happy to sit on his #### at Citeh collecting his mega salary whilst popping his Mrs' diet pills tbh.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Those 4 (depending on Toure's fitness) Faurlin fit, Diakite & Taiwo signed and a decent keeper = Top 8

I agree with you Rich, think it'll be a whole new type of Rangers now, no more jokers. MH made it clear that Sunday type survival wouldn't happen anymore in his reign.

Think Sunday has given MH a mandate to rule the roost and any jokers are out with only professionals coming in. In the same way the title has made Mancini more powerful, so has our survival for MH. Those taunts by Foolham fan(s) that **** your ambition, reckons going to come back to bite them.

Could see some of those city players coming in plus a few players from relegated teams and any players spotted at euros playing for lesser European teams.

Sunday was a sliding doors moment for us and as Stoke forums feared if we stayed up, we would be competing heavily in the transfer Market. Need to get rid of a lot of dead wood though.

Agree with above poster re with MH it will be different.

We've already seen the type of player he is able to attract and what with what I reckon is going to be quite a sizeable budget we will possibly begin to see some big names at LR. Remember MH has this talent of spotting the right people after all City were just mediocre until they got their money and look where they are now, and looking at that team/squad it was MH who brought many of them players in.
I foresee big things for this club and securing our premiership status can only help things after all we will all be back on zero points by the time next August comes round so we have just as much chance as anybody else.

No chance of Toure (wages) and Milner (can't see City wanting to sell him). De Jong would be great but again I think wages and he probably won't want to come here. Johnson maybe and would be a good signing. If they sign Hazard his career there is pretty much over.

Always found their fears a bit laughable if I'm honest - like they are going to be competing for the same players as us. The Rangers hook up with London Wasps died a dead when Wright moved them out

I think you're dreaming a bit there mate. All would be fantastic but if they were to be sold there would be bigger clubs than us in for them!

Could see city players at ours on loan like Ade with spuds paying half wages. We are one of few premiumership clubs prepared to pay high wages and not a threat to title, so city might see us as a safe bet to off load some players on a temporary basis inorder to accomodate their inevitable raid on the worlds top talent this summer.

Hughes tried to get De Jong on loan in January. They wouldn;t let him go with players at the ACN.

Also made enquiries about the availability of Johnson. Both are genuine targets this summer but getting them may be another matter
