I think there will be some surprises. Look at the calibre of player MH atttracted even though we were threatened with Relegation.... I never in a million years thought we'd get a top striker in Cisse, a Champions lge proven fb from AC Milan in Taiwo, and a top prospect from the clutches of Champions League stalwarts Lyon who wanted Diakite.

Imagine what he could do with further backing, a season to look forward to starting on a level playing field. Instead of trying to convince people we'll expect to stay in the league, i'm sure his gambit now will be we intend striving for a Europa spot in the near future......

Any surplus players from the likes of City are welcome if they come with the right attitude etc, however, i'm more excited about the next Samba, Kompany, Santa Cruz, Taiwo, Diakite, Dembele, type signing from Hughes....

All I can predict about signings this summer is they will be surprises. Now the waiter has gone no one is ITK. Our new technical director will have an inside track on salaries/ prospects etc of Man City players so possible players will come from there but also expect at least one player not on anyone's radar such as a Diakite.

Messi.... Gutted about Guardiola's departure and seeking pastures new. Report in Argentina stating he's always dreamed of playing for QPR.

Don't understand your post, no ones saying preferential treatment, likelihood city will strenghthen in summer and due to squad size/financial rules may need to off load. Scenerio maybe a couple of players could come our way not due to us not beating city but due to us not being utd or chelsea and we can pay high wages. It may not happen but its plausible.

maybe Onuoha and SWP can also persuade some of City's fringe players to come here,if we are after some of them. Johnson could be very useful and maybe SWP don't want to persuade him to come, because then he find himself on the bench again.

I'd rather wait until other clubs strengthen, then jump in and make our offer.

Del says "however, i'm more excited about the next Samba, Kompany, Santa Cruz, Taiwo, Diakite, Dembele, type signing from Hughes...."

                Me too.

                  United bound?

"as we are in their good books". That's what I was referring too. That is not really how multi-million pound deals are done now is it? And why are we in their good books? The only way we could be is if they think we threw the game, which we didn't.
