He was signed to hold the ball and bring others into play...and that is what he has done. He will score more frequently if he plays in a 4-4-2, as he did atFulham alongside Johnson or Dempsey.
The loan striker role is almost a thankless task because of threads like this. Try thinking of Zamora as a team player rather than a goals order

Playing Devils Advocate slightly because I think Zamora is a good player but personally this season I have struggled to see too much difference between him and Bothroyd.

Their stats (for Rangers) for the season are near identical so I'm confused as to why earlier in the season Bothroyd, playing with Taarabt who didnt want to be here and a woefully under-performing SWP, was slated on here for being the lone striker and not scoring enough but yet for Zamora, playin with a rejuvenated Taarabt, Cisse and Mackie, it doesn't matter?

botheroyde who cost nothing has scored 2 goals in less minutes than zamora who has also only scored twice

oldskoolturk is never wrong he knows more about rangers than anyone

i think i have taken on serious brain damage ,i never recoverd from dean coney,he was so simular to zamora,his hold up play was brilliant but he could NOT score many goals

if next season we buy yacube from black burn maybe we could play zamora in midfield

Not defending Ted on the original Zamora post but the idea of playing Shittu up front at the start of the season probably wasn't that bad an idea.

Ted, I can help Zammora next season he will socre 12 goals and Cisse 26 goals, and Me and Benny boys already drunk on the 10.05 from Euston.

When we have a better squad next season MH will i'm sure play 442 quite often with both up top, and when he does, hopefully BZ will score a bit more regularly.
