  • Another Barton thread...

I understand that there are many who will never like Barton, whatever he does.
It seems to me that there have been many people just waiting for him to ' lose it' since he came here, and he duly obliged on Sunday.
But for all those people jumping on him now, does he not deserve another chance? To my mind this is the first time he has let our club down, I know he has been poor for much of the season, but let's be honest he was a big part of our much improved home performances.
The people who are saying lets get rid and pay up his contract, whatever it is £8-12 million, are they serious? Who do they expect to pay for that then?
Sorry but I would rather have that invested in the team. Some people are saying we don't need him cos we will have Diakite and Faurlin next season, but let's be honest however exciting he looks are people forgetting that Diakite has only played a handful of games in this league.
I even heard a bloke on Talksport last night say that he would rather be relegated than have Barton playing for us next season!
The only way I would be happy for Barton to go is if Sparky doesn't rate him,
    Rant over..
    Barton is Innocent ok....

First time he's let us down?!?!?! Obviously weren't at the Norwich match. Also slagging off Warnock and mouthing off on twitter isn't ideal for the club.
I would like him to stay on the condition he is scrapped of the captaincy and takes some anger management classes. If we had gone down not one QPR fan would have a good word to say about it.

What happened with Norwich? Didn't Johnson do some play acting.........
As for his tweets they are annoying however it is his own opinions not the clubs and I couldn't care less what other people outside the club think of him.

Agree it was Johnson who started it. The same goes for Tevez, but as the previous poster rangertillidiedan said, he needs anger managemnt classs to keep his composure of not letting other players wind him up. I would keep him under one condition which is taking the armband from him.

Barton needs to realise how lucky he is to be playing football for a living. As a club, we dont need the negative press that comes with Joey Barton, simple as. He needs to put the club first and that means controlling his temper on the pitch (although to be fair if half of the team showed his will-to-win we would of been nowhere near the bottom 4) and tone down the sh@t he posts on Twitter. We will now be without him for the first 8-10 games next season so he owes us big time.
