Don't want to get rid of him and I don't think we will for obvious reasons. May struggle to get back in the side next season. Will be missing for the first 1/4 of the season, midfield could be well established by then.

Is it just me but I think Joey is being hard-done by the media at the moment and by some hoops fans... Yes he should have been sent off but so should have Tevez.

So the story goes as follows... He was sent off, couldn't handle the 'injustice' of it all, the moralizing of the City players, the fact that we were gonna get relegated on another bad decision, and that he would be blamed, and that he couldn't do any thing again in the match to stop us getting relegated ... and he then lashed out, tried to get a reaction off of the City players to get one of them sent off to even up the match...

Even when this had failed, the team were so pumped up after the sending off, after Joey's aggression and defiance, after another bad decision, that they really uped their game...

Fact is our surivial in the Premier League was on the line. Its not time for moralizing on what is right or wrong. we need to do what we can to stay in the league... Barton being sent off was his fault but his reaction galvanised and drove the rest of the team on to put in an astonishing display... In many respects Joey Barton was selfless in his actions and led from the front like a true captain (albeit in peculiar circumstances)...

The media hate him, the FA hate him, most of the country hates him but me, I love him, cos he put himself on the line for QPR in no-win situation and somehow got a positivie out of it in us playing better again...

... We'd be gob s h i t e s to sell him... and Mark Hughes and Tony Fernandes are not that... Joey will stay!

I agree with all of the above, I like the fact that tevez lashed out first is completely swept under the carpet. I've seen much worse fouls committed against our players that have gone unpunished, heitinga clocking zamora in the jaw for one.

          I'm convinced.

How about a pay rise for him and some sort of celebratory statue in front of the ground for his inspired display of forward-thinking leadership under pressure? Maybe JB, with a copy of Proust in one hand and a Blackberry in the other?

          ffs

It wasn't his reaction that made us crack on it was hughes having to take cisse off and putting on traore, and then traore doing the business as he has done every time he has come on as a substiute. And as for all that crap about "never losing my head" "trying to take one of them down with me". What an idiot trying to make excuses up afterwards, makes him look even more pathetic. He had his chance after the liverpool game when he got booed off and he did, fair play to him come back and sort himself out. But to do that in a game yesterday that could have cost us big time and then no doubt if we had of gone down he would have been trying to jump ship as soon as possible, proves he hasn't changed. So in my opinion he doesn't deserve to play for Queens Park Rangers again.

Hope this is true. He's a liability and not a good enough player to justify it
We're Queens Park Rangers and we always do things the hard way!

Cost us 3 points against Norwich when 1-0 up, and then when we needed a point at 1-1 and with Bolton winning 2-1 our captain goes off his nut and gets sent off.

Just don't need that in our team. He'll always be targeted and he always reacts. Get rid, there's much better footballers out there who stay on the pitch for 90 minutes.

If we'd of been relegated Barton wouldnt of gotten off so lightly by some on here.

So you want QPR to get rid of Cisse as well ?

                      Always one.

Cisse is not captain. Cisse is not average. Cisse's quality would be missed. Cisse didnt elbow one, knee another and try an headbutt one more in the most important game of our season.

I take it you want Barton to stay Paul? Ashame you couldn't show such loyalty to.. 'twoball' Taarabt..

It all very well saying let sell him but i cant see any clubs that will want to buy him.

                        1, he's is on a high wage

                        2, he's is a problematic personality

I definitely do not want to see him the captain of Qpr next season and I wish he would lay off the twitter... When he had a break from twitter he's was playing his best football for Qpr

                          Barton

It is not surprising that JB divides opinion on here. I have little doubt that if he is forced out he will turn all his spleen on us as 'nothing little club' etc. I think he is likely bi -polar and if so deserving of some sympathy.

Complete overpaid overrated arrogant ****. Thinks he is intelligent with pointless remarks on teenagers twit site. It's beyond me that anyone is remotely interested.

I despair of some people. Because Joey is not PC enough for some they want him outed. We all knew what his temperament was like when we signed him. We knew what we were getting.

Now consider this little list and tell me if their clubs threw out the players concerned.

Paul Davis of Arsenal - Glenn Cockerell attack
                                Roy Keane - Haaland
Eric Cantona - Kung Fu kick
David Beckham sending off for England for kicking a player
Billy Bremner v Kevin Keegan charity shield fight
Ian St John knockout punch v Spurs

There's a million other incidences in the game but you don't see supporters trying to hang one of their own players. What Joey did was mild compared to Cantona, but did the fans get on his case? Did Fergie get shot?

I'm not interested in all this 'family club' PC nonsense. I want players that are wiling to get stuck in who don't tolerate any nonsense. Those who think he should be sacked, I have to wonder if any of you have actually played the game. if you had, you'd know not to put up with someone having a dig at you.

We know the FA don't like us. We know teams don't like coming to LR because it's a hostile environment, we know refs cheat us, we know the media don't like us, and our response to all this? Let's kick our captain around. Feel better?

I liken this season and our team to the old Wimbledon's crazy gang. A more un-PC team you'll never find, but they all stuck together in the face of some serious hostility. How dare this little club challenge the elite? It's the same with us.

So stop kicking our captain. Love him or hate him, he wears the shirt and plays with passion. I'd rather have him in my team than some of the cheating ****bags in the EPL.

I bet all the knockers love Tony Blair and New Labour.....
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.
