  • Joey Barton to be sold by QPR

Queens Park Rangers want to dump Joey Barton this summer after his inexplicable tantrum at the Etihad Stadium.

    Hope this is true.

Sadly, it's in the Daily Mail, so it would seem unlikely.

      Just get rid !!!!

I don't buy into this ethos .... He;s our player SO SUPPORT HIM ....OR... he was provoked , he did what any of us would have done ...OR tevez started it ...... PURE B OLLOX !!!

He was a pu ucking disgrace yesterday and his antics after the he was shown red were an embarrassment to our club and it bordered on thuggery !!

Here we are trying to turn into a global brand with worldwide exposure trying to attract the next generation of R's and we have this low life as our leader !!

Whats the point of starting the season with 24 players who can play plus one that is out for the first 2/ 3 months !!!!!

AND IN ALL HONESTY ... As much as I have supported him throughout the season..... If we are looking to push on to the next level ...then there is a helluva lot better out there than Joey Barton and you wont get all the baggage that goes with him !!!!

With Ali back next year , Diakite likely to sign , Traore , Tarbs (maybe) ,Jamie and I would guess a couple of new midfielders coming in anyway ...How would someone as average as Barton fit in .

I would feel a lot happier if he was simply taken out of the equation at our wonderful club and we can plan for next season and our bright future without Joey Bartons name popping up every 10 minutes !!

"Sportsmail understands a clutch of senior Rangers players back the decision. Several members of the squad feel Barton is a liability to the team, with his antics against City only underlining that feeling."

hmmmm... this photo was taken this evening.

In all honesty how many of those players will be there next year !!!!

If you were looking to be part of the 'Up and coming Rangers revolution ' would YOU want a liability like Barton in your team as captain or player ?????

            The trouble is though...

Whether it's true or not there are loads of valid points raised about matching the deal we are lumbered with... The Club's legal eagles will be asked to come up with a watertight case to sack him as JB will have access to some equally as Rumpolesque legal advise.....

Failing that it's damage limitation... Free transfer to Rangers in that ######## league up North of the border...... Rather than just try and think like Socrates he'll match his footballing skills against the dross hell be playing each week.... Good riddance....

Oh.. Not R's related but how shocking is that Fulop.... Don't think he'll be with Sunderland next season... Hope he don't come our way.....

...but how many 'senior' players are not there? one or two (and i can't believe that cisse is going round saying that other players are liabilities).

personally, not sure what i think about barton... he's a good player for sure, but i wonder whether he's a bit too 'marmite man' in the dressing room.

but i think the mail are making this up...

                A load of crap!!

Blah blah blah about selling him and all that, then says Hughes MAY strip him of the captaincy..........

                Says it all.

B*llocks, he will still be in a Rangers shirt next season, no doubt.
No one will take him now anyway...

I'm guessing Joey was told to wind it in..... and he did..... for a while.....

No smoke without fire. I reckon he's gone - and they've got him by the balls.

Strip Barton of the captaincy but why get rid of him he has been pivotal during the run in for our survival.
