  • So, Barton... What next?

Ok, he came half good in the last few games, I've always liked his passion and how he seems off the pitch (ignoring twitter) but....

What will Hughes, TF and the rest of the team now really think?

Who out of the inevitable new signings will want to be under his captaincy?

He's likely to get a hefty ban, (I think he needn't worry about his summer holidays as England has now long gone) 6-8 games?

Has he played his last game for the hoops?

Where can one find Bush Babes?

Nope, i dont think he has.

Even if we did decide to sell, cant imagine anyone will be interested until january considering he will miss a large chunk of the opening months of the season.

He will probably lose the captainancy, and be sent for anger management counselling.
I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

Hope TF pays his contract up and say's goodbye. I never want to see the captain or come to that, any player of my club, behaving like that. Hearing its a 9 match ban.

If we can't get rid, the reserve team it will be. Just a complete cocky wa* ke r on twitter last night. Get rid, once and for all
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

Couldn't agree more, he's a liability and a thug. Don't want him anywhere near my team and is an embarassment as a captain- imagine if Bolton had won yesterday and we had lost in extra time thanks to his sending off!

We won't have him for the first 8 or 9 games of next season thankfully.

Yep, self-serving thug, and not what we should expect from a captain of our club, and certainly not someone who's being paid as much as he is..

LOL listen to yourself. You are an embarrassment for turning on one of your own players. Yeah I don't agree with his actions but how would you react to being punched and kicked under the pressure and heat of the moment during that match. He reacted like many of us would of in the heat of the moment and if you think differently then its quite clear to see you've never played the game. What a joke you are for turning on your own team.

Imagine if Clint Hill's goal was given Bolton would of been down last week. Imagine if SWP's clear goal against West Brom was given rather than judged offside when he was almost 3 yards onside. Imagine if your dad never had balls he'd probably be your mother. Imagine, imagine, imagine...

He'll get what he deserves from the FA and will probably get stripped of the captaincy by the club but we are a better team with Joey Barton!

                  Turning on our own?

Barton sh*ts on us by losing his temper when he needs to keep it most (and then making sure we lose him for a couple of months at the start of next season), and we're turning on him for calling him a thug?

If it was a different player who did what Barton did yesterday we wouldn't be having this conversation. End of!

im sorry but i see him as valuable squad member.....yes he is a loose cannon but no more than vinny jones/mark dennis/gavin maguire......we need passion n aggression at times like it or not.....he has never 'disrespected' the shirt like some in the squad have.....id think we;d struggle to off losad him anyhows now......after his ban likelyhood is our midfield will be settled in anyway so place on the bench at most!
                      you know nothing john snow!!!!

So you lot are telling me you expected there to be NO Barton incidents whatsoever when he signed? Come on, it's Joey Barton! You are going to get stuff like this happening with him.
Also, it was the last game, all to play for and he's a really passionate player! He was also one of the best players on the pitch up until he got sent off. Joey Barton will never change, just accept that and move on, focus on the positives.

I take it you are seroius, cause I think that is what he need!
If he doesnt take this problem seriously I fear he will suffer when he retires.

Personally I think it shows how much the game meant to him. His actions after the red were terrible, and it would of been great for him to have taken it like Derry did against Manu. I'd be more embarrassed if he fell to the floor like Tevez and held his face just to get another player sent off - but then if he had done we may of had the advantage - such with the nature of some of these so called professionals we have in the game today.

The countless shocking decisions that have gone against us this season would no doubt take it's toll on a hard season.

Agree with Dazza, we really do have some stupid, fickle fans.

If Aguero had reacted to Barton's kick and been sent off himself, you'd all be praising him for keeping the match level at 10 vs 10, and for getting them back for Tevez's provocation and acting.

And the 'extra five minutes' is a completely illogical argument. Think about it. Had Man City scored in the 87th and 89th minute instead, and FT came in the 90th min, would you blame one of our players for not causing a scene for five minutes? I doubt it.
