Helgusson was **** poor no denying that but Balanta did nothing but give the ball away to easily hence the reason why they both got substituted.

Stop using his age as reasoning for a poor show. This must have been about the 10th time I've seen him play and I've not been very impressed up to now.

I know he is thought of highly but I'm still waiting to see this potential great player. I'm sure the lad will come good but personally I'd opt for Ephriam over him based on what I have seen up to now.
i think one of the reasons he got substituted because he looked knackered, i think he looked confident on the ball and although he missed two shots, ( one which hit the post ) i don't think it is fair to jump on his back on one of his first competitive start.

It sounds like he did OK, but I would had thought Ephraim would had been the better option...

I'm not jumping on his back I'm giving an opinion, I'm fully aware of his age and how we have to develop his talent (typical cliche). How the **** can he be knackered after 55 mins. He has had a full pre season behind him, he should be as fit as a fiddle....he has probably had more match time during pre season than most of the squad.

Everyone around me was agreeing that we need to bring Balanta and Helgusson off and replace them with Vine & Buzsaky and well done JM because he did

Maybe it is a little bit to early to be rushing him into the first 11 and putting him under unnecessary pressure.

I'd start him against Exeter to make sure his confidence isn't dented but put him on the bench for Plymouth.

Fair enough on your last point but tbh i think he could have done a lot worse. Overall he didn't set the world on fire but he did have a decent game, he had good moments and played some good balls through to the strikers, although helguson didn't do anything with them. He could of done a lot worse but he didn't do that bad, I still think he has a part to play for us this season.

he just didnt seem to have the confidence to take people on unfortunately, he did a couple of times but nowhere near as much as a winger should be doin
