  • End of the season comment

I have been posting on this forum for a long time and I appreciate I am not everybody's cup of tea. Sometimes I say things that can be taken the wrong way or interpreted one of two ways, but we are are all Rangers at the end of then day. I'm not trying to be some sort of football authority right now I just want to make a point about my football team so hear me out............

We are a rough club from West London and I know some of you have dreams of an all singing all dancing super stadium to cater for our potential needs in the future but we are the Raggy Bottom Rangers and for all those who do not know what that means I suggest you look it up (and that predates me).... over time we may end up moving away from our roots but in order to know where we're going we must understand where we've come from. We are a West London football team and we should be fiercely proud of our heritage. Today we have relegated a no mark northern football team with nothing to say for themselves.... we have done the Premier league a favour and I hope they appreciate it!

We are QPR, we make headlines, we make column inches and love us or hate us we are here to stay.... we are unique and we need to embrace that not try to move away from it. We can pack a football ground with 15,000 hard-core supporters which in the words of the football pundits (this season) is like 50,000 on a good day.... the football community has heard us it has not been in vain!!!!. In 20 years of the Premier league the only football team that can claim that accolade is Portsmouth.... 20 years I tell you.... we should be so proud!!!

We have watched Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham crumble to nothing in front of our support at Loftus Road this season. When I say crumble I do not mean in a nice way I mean in and an aggressive, nasty, horrible, intimidating way like a bunch of ****ing fairies and that includes their fan base. Above all else this season from the stands i have witnessed moments that have made me feel proud to be a QPR supporter and that is disregarding what has gone on on the pitch. The way we treated Chelsea and Tottenham fills me with so much pride... I truly believe that after our first season in the Premier league we have done enough to make the biggest football teams fear coming to Loftus Road and not because of the football we play but because of our outstanding support when it matters.

I guess what I'm trying to say right now personal differences aside i salute each and every one of you because at some stage this season your contribution has driven this team on and that's not through being just a football fan that's from being a QPR supporter. Next season Loftus Road I believe will be a fortress to be feared... the Britannia stadium will not have nothing on our West London institution you mark my words.

When I look at players like Cisse, Diakite and Tawio I truly believe that they are overwhelmed by this club.... maybe I am being naive just because I think we have special... but I don't think so if I'm totally honest!!! I really do believe we are different from the rest... next season Taarabt, Cisse,Diakite and Faurlin will be QPR players.... and in my opinion that is £50 million worth of talent.... we have arrived!!!!!

Next season I really do believe we will finish top 10 under Mark Hughes. The only thing I wish as a supporter of this West London institution is that we never forget who we are all well we come from!!! The Heritage of this football team is more important than anything else and it is the rule reason why other football clubs respect us.

When you scanned across opposing teams forums ask yourself why did they realy want us to go down.....because next season they fear us!!!!

too all of you because you deserve it!!!!

Agree with all the qpr statements. Me my self believe we will finish top ten I maybe getting ahead of myself but with our owners and the ambition I believe anything is possible. I know we won't go and do a man city lol but over the years a mini man city

W12, Would I be right in assuming you may have taken a drink or two before posting that ?

          Fair play.

Well said mate. I too think we will be a top half side with the benefit of a properly organised pre season, under a top quality manager and with some of the outstanding players we currently have along with the inevitable additions.

You are absolutely right of course, many teams will fear us next season. And they have very good reason to. With all due respect to certain individuals, I do think that we will now recruit players who are several levels above what arrived last summer.

Exciting times indeed. Really nice that we can all de-stress for a couple of months and look forward with optimism to another season in the top flight as opposed to the pressure of needing to go straight back up.

I think that for many reasons, today will turn out to be a very important one for our future.

              Top thread

Not sure about top 10 but would be more then happy with being safe 5 or 6 games before the end of the season

A large proportion of us will never ever forget our roots because we are Rangers through tradition running back through years of family support. Sadly, as we get more new wave fans and mainly when we move to a bigger home, some of that tradition will be lost forever - but there's enough of us carrying on the tradition to keep the rest in check. I have no doubt my son will carry on the tradition when I'm long gone because even now at the age of 10 he's been going everywhere for 6 years and it's in the blood - his kids (god willing) will get the same education and so it will continue. You don't ever forget days like yesterday and I remember looking at the lad at the final whistle and he just had the kind of look that said - thanks Dad. He understands that he could not ever feel this way if he supported any other club in the world.

Good post. Wd hope new fans do remember our heritigage. Also hope all us old timers welcome new fans and dont look down on them just because they werent at vauxhal motors etc, because we need both if we are to grow.

                          Indeed.

Excited at what is about to happen and finally a settled pre season.

Wonder if Harrow Borough will be on the cards again.

No Perones or that midget with a mean free kick left back this time round

Still half pissed but the sentiment remains from the original thread

I don't think we will struggle next season, I do believe we will finish in the top half the table and believe our home support will be crucial in getting results.

Listen to Hughes post match interview...we will 'never be in this position again' under him and believe it.
