  • Diakite update?

I'm concerned of the lack of news about Diakite. Is he definitely over his illness and available for Sunday?

If he's out we have no hope, but with him in the team, when city get a bit cavalier when attacking leave Barry a bit isolated in their defensive midfield area, he is just the person to expose it with an unexpected pacy break through the gaps that are left. He could get some shots off, win corners or FK's and then who knows what could happen.....

Agreed if Samba doesn't play we really have no chance he is a great ball carrier and good at keeping posession. Worried about the lack of news about his avaliability. Don't fancy playing Buz, struggled last week bigtime.
Nostalgia isn't what it used to be....

Heard from a guy who was at the sponsors evening that Diakite is fit. Taarabt, on the other hand, is a doubt.

I have a feeling Taraabt may not start anyway, given our need to defend so much..... If he knows this may have suggested he's doubtful to people?

That's not bad news, Diakite is the important one in this game

No news means good news to me.

not too bothered if Tarbs starts or not. Would be a good option on the bench when we inevitably go 1-0 down

Does your friend think that because he wasn't at the event? To my knowledge he's never attended one to date.

In my opinion we need players who can hold into the ball at city. Adel to start for me if he's fit.

Taraabt can make things happen from nothing, and would be a big loss in my opinion, but Diakite is the main man in midfield to help us through. We have decent other players to replace Taarabt if we have to, but none of our other center midfielders come close to what Diakite can offer us. Surely he must be over a virus??

Chin up mate, it's been a hard week but lets hope it's all good news on Sunday.

Stoke is not a nice place to go so I think it will be good news come Sunday

It's a real shame but we did okay without him against Stoke so we can't dewell on it

                              Del - Diakite
