  • Greetings from Manchester

Man City Fan here in peace!

Just thought I would have a read of what your boys are saying about the game on Sunday.

Have read a few bits and pieces and will post a bit of advice for those who are asking some questions.

Sundays game is a nerve racker for us whatever people are saying. I havent slept properly all week! We have to be confident with our record and your record away but it doesnt stop us shitting it! This is a whole new ball game for us.....My hope is that Stoke score twice early doors and effectively make you safe!

Anyway ideal scenario for many blues is that we win the title, QPR stay up and Bolton go down. Shaun Wright Phillips is a legend at City and Nedum a city fan so very popular with the fans. Barton usually gets a mixed reception but without his input in 2006-08 we wouldnt even be having this discussion because we would have gone down and probably bought by the Venkys!!

    Anyway on to other matters....

For those Staying in Manchester the night before, The main places for a drink are Deansgate Locks which has a row of around 8 bars next to each other, The printworks which is an indoor place with bars etc...Tiger Tiger club is there for a late one. Alternatively the Northern Quarter is decent. Manchester for those that havent been out is fairly spread out so its often quicker to jump a cab to get to where you want to get to.

On match day, the city centre will be heaving before the game, many pubs may have a no away fans policy and wont let you in with colours. This will be especially true around Picadilly station. I know loads of city are getting in early that day and there will be thousands of ticketless fans in the city centre so pubs will be busy.

There will be no mither with City fans in any pubs. If it was United it might be different as them lot are a bunch of ****s on a good day!

The ground is a 20 minute walk or 10 min cab ride from the station. Sometimes better getting a cab (£5-6 from station). The pubs around the ground will all be home fans only so wouldnt even bother trying. They will also be rammed.

People will be trying allsorts to get in the ground so security at the away turnstiles may be tight and I would advise not leaving it too late. You will be able to get a beer in the ground (At the price of £3.50 ish which to you lot is probably cheap- Dont have the Carlsberg though....drinking your own **** would taste better!)

After the match we can hopefully celebrate together and head into town for the mother of all celebrations. There will be a few United knocking around looking for bother if it happens but once they see the numbers they will be off.

Oh and one last thing....Please dont sing where were you when you were ****.....90% of us were there when we were **** and have seen more **** than horse could dump in a lifetime. We have a lot in common with the QPR's of the world and just got very lucky with the owners we have.

Best of luck with the staying up lark but you will need a big bus to stop our attack. If he does try that I dont think it will work. Stoke played 6 defenders against us and were 3-0 down after 30 minutes. The only team to get a point were Sunderland and they really had a go at us!

    Some fair points there.

Have no malice against City. You're from Manchester and you follow your local club. I despise everything that United stands for. Going up to United the other week and seeing endless coaches coming from Devon, Kent, Essex etc. was a joke.

To be fair, the game at our place we had a real go at you and deserved a point.

We won't do that away from home.

I imagine we'll play 4-5-1. Hopefully Diakete is back as I think he'd relish such a game.

Cisse if he plays up top will be dangerous with his pace.

I have visions of of the whole ground doing the 'Poznan' at the end of the game. Hopefully we'll stay up and you boys get the title. For that to happen, we need Stoke to help us out!

Gonna be tense for us on Sunday.

What are the locals paying for tickets up there?

Must be paying whatever. Can't miss this game for anything.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

Thanks, but too much useful advice and no nasty goading, so some of our posters will be disappointed by your input
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

                Welcome

A plus for you is generally the side that we play last game of the season tends to lift the title in front of us, think it has happened four or five times in the last 7 years

For obvious reason hope that trend bucks this Sunday however would love a point to be good enough for both of us

Cheers fella for advice got a good mate who is city and I've been up a few times a recent time when we played Stockport in league 1, we won 2 1 and I think gallen scored (no 10) we spent last knockings that night in casino in stockport betting on you guessed it no 10...came in loads and we left singing our Kevin gallens magic hat song.hes closet rangers really and wants us to do well by staying up. Went to fulham away with him in the man city end and you drew 2 2 (last minute goal) it was when fulham played at ours.
Overall the city I have met llike a beer, their footy and a crack.been to bredbury hall a couple times as well, hopefully will stay their next season when we play.. Let's hope so eh
I'll only enjoy the day if/once were safe and then the town can party. Never know we may not get home of all goes well??

Wouldn't need to mob up, City could take them alone and so could we

Great post mate & some top info for those of us heading up Saturday.

Said to a fella today the absolute perfect day would be for City to win the title & Rangers stay up.

Got a lot of time for City, top fans & always had great support & of course as mentioned above respect the fact you follow City & not them other lot. They are w@nkers & the amount of them in London is sickening & embarrassing.

Good luck for the title mate but go easy on us!!

Top post from a fan of a fellow proper football Club. No malice intended here but I hope we get a point. But don't worry because I don't think the other lot will win at Sunderland
Really don't want to have to rely on a bunch of anti-football mugs like Stoke so here's hoping we all get what we want
