Man City Fan here in peace!
Just thought I would have a read of what your boys are saying about the game on Sunday.
Have read a few bits and pieces and will post a bit of advice for those who are asking some questions.
Sundays game is a nerve racker for us whatever people are saying. I havent slept properly all week! We have to be confident with our record and your record away but it doesnt stop us shitting it! This is a whole new ball game for us.....My hope is that Stoke score twice early doors and effectively make you safe!
Anyway ideal scenario for many blues is that we win the title, QPR stay up and Bolton go down. Shaun Wright Phillips is a legend at City and Nedum a city fan so very popular with the fans. Barton usually gets a mixed reception but without his input in 2006-08 we wouldnt even be having this discussion because we would have gone down and probably bought by the Venkys!!
Anyway on to other matters....
For those Staying in Manchester the night before, The main places for a drink are Deansgate Locks which has a row of around 8 bars next to each other, The printworks which is an indoor place with bars etc...Tiger Tiger club is there for a late one. Alternatively the Northern Quarter is decent. Manchester for those that havent been out is fairly spread out so its often quicker to jump a cab to get to where you want to get to.
On match day, the city centre will be heaving before the game, many pubs may have a no away fans policy and wont let you in with colours. This will be especially true around Picadilly station. I know loads of city are getting in early that day and there will be thousands of ticketless fans in the city centre so pubs will be busy.
There will be no mither with City fans in any pubs. If it was United it might be different as them lot are a bunch of ****s on a good day!
The ground is a 20 minute walk or 10 min cab ride from the station. Sometimes better getting a cab (£5-6 from station). The pubs around the ground will all be home fans only so wouldnt even bother trying. They will also be rammed.
People will be trying allsorts to get in the ground so security at the away turnstiles may be tight and I would advise not leaving it too late. You will be able to get a beer in the ground (At the price of £3.50 ish which to you lot is probably cheap- Dont have the Carlsberg though....drinking your own **** would taste better!)
After the match we can hopefully celebrate together and head into town for the mother of all celebrations. There will be a few United knocking around looking for bother if it happens but once they see the numbers they will be off.
Oh and one last thing....Please dont sing where were you when you were ****.....90% of us were there when we were **** and have seen more **** than horse could dump in a lifetime. We have a lot in common with the QPR's of the world and just got very lucky with the owners we have.
Best of luck with the staying up lark but you will need a big bus to stop our attack. If he does try that I dont think it will work. Stoke played 6 defenders against us and were 3-0 down after 30 minutes. The only team to get a point were Sunderland and they really had a go at us!
