A (near) perfect day

The best scenario I can come up with is:
Stoke go at least a couple up by half time.
We hold out til very late on.
The final whistle goes at Stoke to confirm our survival and then City knock in the winner to snatch the title.

Not bad foresight I'd say!

I'd like to say I planned it that way all along, but this afternoon has left me drained and emotional. When it came down to it, the huge delight at staying up is slightly tempered by us not getting the result in the en; I feel elated and strangely hollow at the same time.

2 other thoughts; Barton should never wear the Hoops again and I trust Hughes to make the end of next season far more comfortable.

Now, who can we buy in the summer....
