  • Noise when we scored at stoke

this made me smile on the stoke site after so reading so much other bile and hatred:

"I hate to say it since for the most part the QPR support was very poor save a couple of renditions of "Come on you 'R's" but the noise when they scored was the loudest I have ever heard at a football ground and that includes when Man City scored at Wembley last year.

It was ear splitting and truly horrible and made worse by watching the odious Mark Hughes jumping around with the rest of the bench and the subs too.

Considering there was so little on it for us I don't think I have ever left a football ground so angry and thoroughly dejected.

Oh well, the sun will shine again, but I don't know when. "

Not much mention of their own poor away support but then they wouldn't would they!

To be honest, our fans were ****ing awful on Sunday until the goal went in. The Q Block was concentrated on abusing John Terry and Chelsea than actually getting behind the team.

The whole ground was depressed and nervous after hearing the Bolton- WBA score (1-0, 2-0) and with 15 minutes to go, there wasn't any hope. Add to that, we were playing like crap.

But the reaction to the goal was absolutely incredible. It was almost as noisy as - The Britannia Stadium.

yes agreed. The turgid performance on the pitch was admirable mirrored by us in the stands. I put it down to nerves as much as anything. The performance on the pitch i put down to no Diakite, no movement and a very professional Stoke side just doing what they do best. I hope they do it even better next Sunday.

I thought we played quite well most of the match, just didn't take our chances.

I remember the loudest goal noise I've heard as an away fan was at Home Park a few years ago - first away game of the 09-10 season, they equalised in the 94th minute and the place erupted!

Correct it was heart attack city in there for 87 mins ................... nearly p i s s e d myself when at about 80 mins the hoarding flashed up an advert to text CPR
"Steve, do you think 25k is a good option when there are indications that within four years, new stadiums on average have increased attendances of 60%?
For us that would mean around 29k."

I was there too. The lucky bar stewards practically threw the ball into the net from a throw in. That was a quiet trip back on the train!

Still, they aint doing so well nowadays are they
2011-2013, 2 seasons in the Premiership, 76 games, 14 wins........two years of my life I'll never get back!!

2013/2014 mediocrity topped off with a win at Wembley....

2014/2015 was pretty much the same as 2011-2013.....

                    2015/2016, average at best.....

                    2016/2017, same old, same old....

                    2017/2018, aim low, avoid disappointment!

Its the hope that kills you!
