      And if we'd picvked up better results at Bolton, Blackburn, Wigan & Villa or just Bolton we'd be comfortably safe right now.

      At least we won at Stoke.....oh no !

                I think the additional money is a red herring as it goes to the club not the players.

                If the club said that they are going to split any extra takings 11 ways then I can see it as an incentive for the players but in reality thats not going to happen

                  Yes they have won 6 away from home, the 1st game v us, then their 2nd win was Wigan away, in Oct, Before they won at Blackburn in December.
                  They then picked up a creditable win at Everton in early Jan, the 4th to be exact, and then had to wait until march 31st for their 5th win, Wolves away, and the last win as you will remember was a couple of weeks ago v Villa.
                  So 5 of their 6 away wins this season have been against fellow bottom 6 clubs,
                  not quite as impressive as they like us to think imo.
                  Im afraid all form goes out the window in a one off must win game...
