I was wondering if (please god) Bolton get relegated, will he have to step down as a board member of the FA.

Can remember a couple of years ago he put forward proposals to change prem league set up ,which included no relegation or promotion.

Cant help feeling the bloke has a lot of power within the FA and would do all he could to protect Boltons status in prem.

Would be really funny if Bolton went down and THEN the FA brought in a no promotion/relegation rule.
    Totally against the idea personally...

Personally I feel if they get rid of promotion and relegation it would be the final nail in the coffin for tradional English Football. The Premier league will just become the focus of a non-sporting play ground for the worlds rich list. (much like Formula one). I would prefer to stay with REAL football !

        Hear hear.
Unless the Prem consisted of just the big 4 or 5 toys-out-of-prams clubs who then had to play each other about 10 times a season, every season, whilst the rest of us reassembled into a proper football league, 4 divisions, level playing field and all that.
