    Question

    Holt or Zamora?
As much as it sticks in my throat Id probably have to say Holt; he blokes got 15 league goals (I think?) this year, as much as people might hate him, that is a pretty damn good return.

If we stay up I'd sign Holt and Huth...saying that actually sounded quite funny

Could make alot worse signings. Not "glamorous" names, but they certainly do their jobs well. Huth had Mackie in his sky rocket all game.

I don't think he holds the ball up that well, Cisse held the ball up better when he came on
We're Queens Park Rangers and we always do things the hard way!

The way we set up today made it difficult for him.. often isolated against their brick sh.ithouse of a defence.

Not his best game, but his cross to pick out Barton was top drawer.

Agree he looks tired and think we can't underestimate the effect a good pre-season could have on him.

Will be a big player for us in the future anyhow.

He is not a lone striker and blame Hughes for not pairing up with Cisse from the start

Cant have just Zamora upfront alone as only good for holding it up and needs another front man to knock it on to

Don't think it's all Zamora's fault. Playing 4-4-1-1 leaves him isolated and usually without any option. Why does Hughes persist with one up front because when we have two upfront we score. One up front at home is a joke IMHO.

A really good joke then, that wins you games.

Didnt we just win 5 home games on the trott that has at least given us a hope of staying up, i cnat see how anyone can comlain of the tactics at home recently because it has been quite clear, when we play 4 4 2 we are normaly down by 3 at half time and the games over.

Maybe next season it will change with new personnel and enough games to play a little more expansieve, as to me it is the right tactics for this current squad and the current situation we find ourselves in (15 points from 15).

Either way, excellent win. Let's hope we can take a point from Citeh. COYR'S!
Agree but I think we need him at City for keeping the ball and waste time. He is beter in this than Bothroyd.

I thought he looked knackered especially in the 2nd half, worked hard in my opinion. A lot of his work goes unnoticed. Tough job upfront alone against a physical Stoke side. Also when he got the ball, at times we didn't offer much width. Though it seemed nobody favoured Mackie in the second half as Huth was eating him for dinner, LOL

Agree. 4-4-1-1 is pointless with Zamora. He cant hit a barn door, but he does hold the ball up well. If you were to persist with him, you would have to play someone next to him to make the most of his ability.

Look at the Wolves game. Cisse and Zamora looked great as a two u front...Until well, we know what happened, LOL

Zamora was being marked by 3 central defenders yesterday!

Thought he occupied all of them and allowed space for players like Tarabat to do their stuff.

Very pleased with his signing. Has great feet and a great touch.
