Matty, tarbs has been great for the last 8 or so games, but 8 out of 30 odd is hardly player of the season dont you think.

It'd have to go to maybe Hill or Mackie who are the only 2 constants we've had..or am i wrong by saying that.

      Personally I'd say Hill.

        Mackie for me.

Reason: performance wise none of our players have stood out especially in relation to consistency.
However Mackie, has been the one source of passion and drive, when heads have dropped he has constantly driven the team and fans forward, never not believing.
As to ability, he's stepped up with goals and driving forward. Also a lot of people thought with our new arrivals Mackie would be shipped off to a championship side like Forest but unlike other members of our squad who are happy to do nothing and pick up wages, Mackie has fought to get into the starting lineup. A lot thought he was NWs poodle but MH one of the legends of the game agrees with NW that Mackie deserves to start.
So for me its Mackie, the board and manager respect him, mid season he was one of the few players that appeared to stand up to JB.
Same way as Kompany hasnt lost his head at man city when others have and kept city on track even though there are bigger names, I think Mackie has done a similar job for us.
All this has been done after his horrific injury last season.
I think Mackie has been outstanding for us and if he hadn't of stepped up we would be playing SWP, resulting in us probably being below Wolves
        Mackie

mackie for me by a mile, chases lost causes never gives up.... if some of the so called more gifted players at our club put in his effort , endevour and heart then i doubt we would be in our position in the table . clint is a good honest pro that has come in and done a decent job but has been no better than anton.... give it to mackie just for his composure when putting liverpool to the sword

Tarbs has been superb since Christmas mate, and Hill (dont get me wrong I love Clint and have him right up there for POTY myself) has only been playing CB (really on since this move into the middle has he excelled) since that time also. They've both come good for near on the exact same period of time.

Not wrong in saying that at all, all about opinions. I said myself Id agree with your 2 but chuck in Adel also, think (IMO) the lad has been superb this year, lost alot of his flaws and is become a much more rounded player.

Hows Oz anyway mate? Not jealous of the weather youve no doubt got or anything; Im chuffed to be in a site cabin by the motorway looking out at grey skys and spoil heaps .....
