What was Hughes thinking playing Cissi on the left, it showed later in the game that he would have troubled The Chelsea defence if he was up front with Zamora from the start, and played Traore on the left hand side of midfield, it took over a hour before he changed things, which should have been done after 20 mins 442 is a much more solid formation at least we could not have done worse, probably would have still lost but we would have given their, centre backs a bit more to do with 2 up front and you never know we might have nicked a point out of the game, I am not going to berate the players they know they did not turn up today and put in a shift.
But all is not lost, still think that Hughes is the right man for the job, and hope we get back on track against Stoke the only thing I would do apart from Samba and Tarbs coming back into the side against Stoke, I would put Cerny in goal instead Kenny.

    £hit or bust

    4 4 2

Buzz is a waste of space unless he's whacking in a 35 yarder
They mightve ripped us a new one with the 4 4 2
But then they did with Sparkys choice anyway!!!

Hope Hughes grabs it next season
I need some time in the sunshine, I gotta slow it right down.

agree, my brother and i were crying out for it. Cisse on the left of midfield might as well not have been on the pitch, it was like having 10 men. put him up top and he looked a different player. scored one and very nearly scored one or two more.

Traore is an outlet that we were desperately lacking. I love buz but he was just chasing shadows.

When we did finally make the changes we actually looked quite good.

In fairness we wd have lost anyway, but might have been a bit more respectable.

they had bosingwa and ferreira in their back 4 and our response was to have zamora and cisse as far apart as possible.if we were going to get anything from this we either had to be defensive(as we have been in virtually every away game since hughes took over)by having 2 banks of 4 and zamora on his own or play 4-4-2 and go for it.we really did neither cisse was wasted out wide and mackie was meant to stop cole getting forward(he couldnt).we were never at the races and defensively we were a mess.there were huge gaps all over the pitch which players like matha and lampard will always exploit why didnt we (when we were under the cosh) at least get derry or barton to man mark one or both of them to see if this disrupted their rhythm.barton seemed at his petulant best and virtually everyboby had a bad day when we badly needed them.as for paddy kenny i doubt he has had a worse game for many a long time.although playing behind our back 4 isnt the recipe for a quiet game.still not all over yet keep the faith still rather be a true r than a plastic ****mer.

The thing is with tactics some days you get it right other days you get it wrong and last week MH was point on today is was way off.

But also we need to consider with Samba out and Tarbs out it took many options out and he was limited and just maybe he hands were forced to play that way.

One thing i would say, is MH had a bad day, the team had a very bad day but when we get it right were are a very good team we just need to be more consistant and do it on a run of matchs and not on / off / on / off
One for all.... and all for one
