  • your era?

when you first started going rangers, what was your starting 11?
not talking throwing a player in here and there but the actual time you first went and got to know who was playing where. can people remember the stars that made them fans of the club they love? interesting to gage the ages etc of the people we chat to on a daily basis.

My dad took me to the occasional game between 1996 and 2005 and then I started going more reguarly from the 08-09 season onwards
We're Queens Park Rangers and we always do things the hard way!

Growing up my fave players were Sinclair, Ferdinand, Bardsley, Impey. I had Les 9 shaved in my hair and even wanted dreadlocks because of Trevor but mum wouldn't let me

brilliant game that. One of my favorites.......winner from kick off in injury time.

              Team for me was:

              Roberts,
              Bardsley, Mcdonald, Peacock, Wilson
              Impey, wilkins, barker, sinclair
              ferdinand, allen

Peter Hucker, ian stewart, ian dawes, gary bannister, clive allen, terry fenwick, simon stainrod, bobby hazel, warren neil, john byrne, alan mcdonald

Not all in the same team but just some of the names i remember from that era. The early to mid 80's for you youngens. Sat in SA Road with the old man, he goes more than me thesr days cos of my kiddies. 2 cup finals, playing in Europe and an established top league team
if only we could replicate some of that.

1st game Arsenal at home 73 (With Dad). Players that stood out mainly were the usual Bowles, Francis, Thomas etc and who made us into a near title winning side.
My main memories though are in the 80s (The Casual period hence my username) walking to Wembley and many players throughout that whole decade, among Fereday, Bannister, Allen, Gary Waddock, Currie, Seaman the list goes on.
