    Brightons Amex stadium expansion
    Currently 22,374 (Highest 2011/12 So far 20,968)
    Planned expansion
    27,250 by Aug 18th 2012
    27,750 in December 2012
    30,750 by Aug 2013

Can't even fill it at the moment. Highest 20,968.
Ok we have only been getting 18 thousand odd but that is the capacity. That's our excuse, what's there's?

Also I think it's probably around the same we should be looking at (a gradual increase) maybe up to 40,000 if poss in the future.
Obviously in a new ground as LR wouldn't allow this.

I think we will not fill more than 25,000. I reckon 30,00 is fine.

i agree. it's all well and good having a bigger stadium but lets not forget there are a plethora of london clubs, in particular round our region.
if we get a 30k+ stadium we would not fill it until/unless we start winning league and you get the tourists.

I go back to my point about OT - 70k people there...only about 20k of real football fans - the rest just watch "glory football".

Even the Sports Direct Arena's "best fanbase in the world" plummeted in the Championship.

      I'd rather 15,16,17,18k real fans.

I like Loftus Road and don't ever want to leave it and if you go to Chelsea on Sunday you will see why. I'd rather have just 15,000 proper QPR fans than what Chelsea have which is 15,000 proper Chelsea fans + 25,000 bods. As much as I dislike Chelsea the boys I know who go (many don't anymore) hate all the plastics that success has attracted.

To start off with a ground of at least 25-30k that can expand to about 50-60k in the future.

If we reduce the price for tickets and introduce a parking fee, it could work. They charge us £10 at the Ricoh for parking.

              Not defending them, but:

They can never be at capacity unless the away fans are. And so far that has not happened. When West Ham played there, it was a night game and the travelling back to London would have been a nightmare.

They have been used to 6000 crowds, due to the "open air" stadium at the Withdean. This takes time to build up again after so many years without a proper home and lower league football. Only relatively recently have they enjoyed the backing of a wealthy individual.

Not sure if you've been, but it really is a fantastic stadium. Top drawer build quality, not the usual rubbish like the Ricoh, Stadium MK etc.

On the other hand, it could just be that a downturn in performances and league position over the next few years would see that change for the worse. Suppose we'll have to wait and see, but they seem to be getting a lot right at the moment.

Hate to burst your bubble, Loftus Rd has a capacity of 18360 and this season you have an average attendance of 17294, what's your excuse for not filling the ground??

when 2 bob teams come to us and cant fill both tiers we have to cover up the first 6 rows of the lower tier so home fans can fill it for them hence the lower average..........next.

lol...I think that says more about you as a club where away fans pick and choose which games to go to and they miss you out, because lets be honest who can be bothered to go the toilet that is Loftus Rd

no just teams with poor away support like yourselves or the others just too far to travel or a night game, the only reason you filled is cos your in south west london if we were in somewhere like i dunno east london or watford you would of brought your usual 300 or so.......
