Don't think Boltons result is the death nail for us, this weekend all the bottom 6 teams have difficult fixtures and I wouldn't be surprised if none of them pick up points.
Villa are just hopeless and have always been a joke club, who you can never rely on and never do anything useful.
If we can get through this weekend, I can see the fat lady turning her sights on others.

I would take a point at chelsea.

I just don't know if 4 pts would keep us up if we get them?

The other possibility is Villa losing their 3 remaining games which I can't see.

What about our goal difference. Can we count that one as a point(in a way?)

A point at Chelsea would be a fantastic result for us, then 3 against Stoke, may just be enough.
I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

Villa have the best goal difference.

Well, i can only conclude to saying " lets see what happens....."

Villa are in trouble. They haven't won at home since January. Tonight they lost at home to a very poor side. Tonight they played Chris Hird, their 20 year old reserve right back in centre midfield partnership with Warnock, their left back.

They've got two away games - incuding a derby at West brom - and Spurs at home with Harry pushing for Europe and try to a) get the England job b) not get sacked.

McLeish is repeating exactly what he did at Brum by having a side mid table in Feb go on a slide he can't reverse. Reckon they will fall into the bottom three and stay there the weekend we play and beat Stoke.

Villa will lose their remaining 3 matches (Spuds h, wba a and norwich a), bolton will at best pick up 2 points (Sunderland a draw, Spuds h draw, WBA h lose and Stoke a lose), and blackburn 3( Spuds a lose, wigan h win, and Chelsea a lose) 3. Wigan I think will lose to Newcastle (h), Bburn (a) lose and draw at Chelski away and get 1 point.

If Wigan take a point or 3 off Bburn, Bburn are gone. If we can take 3 points we will overtake Villa.

However even if we take a point off one of Chelski or Stoke, but to go down at Man City, that leaves us with 35, Villa 36, Bolton 35 and Blackburn 34.

Unless Bolton can overturn the 10 goal deficit in the goal difference we should be safe, and I confidently predict a top 10 finish for next season!!

It's that kind of supreme, rigid confidence that makes me have doubts again.

I think Villa will get 1 more point and will have a worse goal difference after WBA and SPurs beat them. 4 points would make things a lot better for us though
We're Queens Park Rangers and we always do things the hard way!

I feel we need all 9 points. It's becoming very frustrating. Everytime we think we are closer to survival, other teams start winning again. Away form to blame.:yush:

What did you expect - everyone to lay down and die like wolves - the chelsea result means we have a chance of getting something

We have to be patient and worry only about our own results - Hughes is no mug

                              I've changed my mind!

Wigan and Blackburn both to lose on Saturday.

Blackburn beat Wigan the following week and we beat Stoke.

                              Survive on goal difference

Only slight problem I can see is that it does require all those team's cooperation which may not be forthcoming
