For the premiership next term ? (I'm being positive here that we will stay up)
Or are the management going to aim high and get better class players in ?
Although I'm sure Mark Hughes will always look to improve the squad, we already possess a squad capable of holding it's own in the premier league next season.
Provided we stay up.
And if we don't, we will walk the championship, and anther QPR captain will be lifting silverware this time next year.
Our squad as it stands now is good enough for mid table imo. They are just starting to show it also.
Just think of late we've been playing with the likes of Cisse, SWP, Traore, Young, Gabbidon and Buzsaky on the bench...... That highlights just what stides we've made in the last year.

Yes remember the commentator saying on Saturday before the Spuds game that we had a bench full of Internationals (unlike Spuds) when was the last time you heard that at QPR if at all?
Queens Park Rangers
NPower Champions 2010/2011
PREMIER LEAGUE 2011 - ETERNITY (Oh well got that wrong, we'll be back though)
IF we stay up we will be a force next season, not top 8 but still a useful team, especially at home by the looks of it, and most importantly one that will improve. Hughes will have a full pre-season with HIS team, players like Diakete, Cisse, Taiwo and Onuoha will be able to settle properly and all of the dead wood at the club can finally be released or paid up.
I imagine Hughes will already have players like Daikete on his radar who he can bring in.Our scouting network could lead to a few more gems like him and I wouldn't be surprised if Rigg finds the next Kompany like he did at Man City.
I honestly believe that if we stay up we won't look back and the team will really step up.
IF we survive, Newcastle should be our template, in their 2nd season this year they have surprised everyone. Not only that, but Pardew has done it after shipping out / cashing in on their supposed best players, Nolan, Barton, Enrique and that donkey Carroll....
The fact Liverpool on that occasion were giving away money rather than knicking it, and he got £35m for the carthorse, it's allowed some shrewd investment in Cabeye for about £4m i think, Cisse recently for about £10m, Ben Arfa for £2m and of course Ba on a free....
It just proves that the well known names may not always be the better option. Theer are plenty of quality players out there, mainly abroad, thet represent massive value for money. We have a great management team now who are proven at finding gems and getting bargains, and have already shown it. Blimey we got Cisse for £5m, Diakite will be about £4m, Taiwo £3.5m, Onoura about £3m... All that lot for £20m less than Liverpool paid for a pantomime donkey.
IF we stay up and with this new scout, who MH obvioulsy head hunted for a good reason, i am really optimistic about the future and the sort of players we can find.
definitely good enough for the prem next season. here's hoping we stay up this year so we can continue to prove ourselves - and ruffle some FA and prawn sandwich premiership brigade feathers along the way.
