  • Handshake to go ahead on Sunday Chelsea V QPR

Just heard, IMO I really don't think they should while the investigation is pending. Terry caused all the trouble with Bridge and Ferdinand. The FA are a joke once again.

Well so be it, it would be nice if none of the player shake Terrys hand or squeeze it and call him a racist ;-)

Let's get over it and focus on the game.

      Officially.

Doesn't mean Ferdinand will or has to shake the racists hand.

i do think this is an important issue. more so than the badge chat.

This man is standing trial for using racially aggrevated language. The alledged victim is being asked to shake his hand by the FA?

I thought the FA were the first ones to jump down Blatter's throat when he claimed racist comments on the pitch should be settled by a handshake.

This is an issue, and it does need to be debated. Not on here - but on Skysportsnews or any other high profile sporting media outlet - this is an absurd decision.

IMO the FA should leave it to QPR and or Anton to make his own choice.

Agreed, and It amazes me how Anton has raised his game during this "troubled" times.
            His focus really impresses me.

From a purely legal perspective it's likely he'll be advised against the handshake, which will fuel the atmosphere even more.

Think Anton's focus is down to having Clint Hill as CB alongside him.

Would make us look very petty and childish not to shake any of their hands.

Wouldn't shake Terry's hand if you paid me though, and I expect few, if any of our players will.

Have to say the handshake before the game needs to be scrapped, it's very disingenuous anyway.Players never used to shake before the game, and as Fergie said they are then gonna try and kick lumps out of each other, a handshake at the end is enough.

I don't think you should shake hands before the game anyway, after is fine. Really just want the team to focus on the game, forget all this nonsense off the field and get something from the game.

MH is on record as saying he's never been in favour of handshakes before a game, not that the FA will ever scrap it.
